Tsk, tsk. RAFO (Read and find out).
------
Feyl shook his head. Once again, Marvilan had spoken without understanding the situation.
"You do not understand. None of the Bekarans that was captured has had an Aeroengine. While they possess the knowledge of how to build one, this plane of Adaris does not have the necessary parts to assemble one, and even if we did, the materials are on the other side of the continent. And we were not referring to the non-corporeal Gohl--I was meaning those person who have been possessed by them. We currently have the area where the Archway exists surrounded, encircled, but our cordon is loose, and we do not want to have to worry about enemies running loose behind our lines in vehicles faster than our own transportation," he said. The Bekaran needed to think before he spoke like that--it made him seem impatient. "I'm afraid you will have to ride a horse, just as we all will," he added, with a not-so-sympathetic smile.

"No, I will not," Marvilan said. "In the case I get infected, I'll be paralysed, which means the aeroengine will not run. Plus I'm faster than all of you on your horses. I can fly in the air, scout for enemy positions, scan for enemies. And I can carry more food and supplies inside an aeroengine. Don't be so proud of your magical abilities that you fail to recognise our substitutes for it."

Feyl's eyes tightened. This Bekaran would comply.
"No," he said firmly. "You will ride, or you will not come. We need to stick together, anyway--we have to be able to keep an eye on each other, which we won't be able to do if you are flying off alone in your aeroengine. And there's the fact that the Gohl will be able to tell it's coming, thanks to the fact that it has to be above a certain height, and the fact that the Laude have much more sensitive hearing than you seem to give them credit for."
He scowled. The Bekaran was not being cooperative at all, and cooperation was necessary for this quest to succeed. He stalked off towards his horse's stall, Dorlan going off to check on his own warhorse.

"Kindly explain to me how I am going to carry all of my equipment then?" Marvilan retorted. He wasn't going to stand for this. Either the aeroengine was coming or he wasn't going at all. What does the fool against this anyways?

Miniya saddled two horses for herself and Xaviera, who watched the argument between the Bekaran and Feyl. She laughed to herself and leaned back against a stable door.

Nolani ignored the argument. She didn't want to get into it. Instead she began to saddle a horse for herself, but found it difficult. The saddle was so heavy! Threng, however, was by her side without a word. He hoisted the saddle onto the the horse, a large mare whose coat was the color of pale honey and her mane and tail were a dark brown-black.
Once she was tacked, Threng tacked his own horse. If Nolani had thought her horse was big, she marveled at the one Threng had chosen. He was a huge gelding. His coat was a roan blue: grey with a tint of blue showing through, and hismane and tail were black.

Karina smirked at the argument taking place. Such things to argue about. She sighed and went into the stable to find herself a horse. She found one at the very end of the barn. The gelding was small- not over 15.3 hh- his coat was a brown and his mane black. The bay had a large star on his forehead. He looked lean but muscular.
"You're quick on your feet." Karina murmered and stroked the horse. The horses name plate read Bizmark.
"We'll make a fine pair, Bizmark."
She went to find tack and started to saddle the horse. He stood paitently while she fiddled with the straps. When she went to tighten his girth, Bizmark pinned his ears and tossed his head.
"Cinchy?" Karina laughed a little and continued to tighten. Bizmark snorted and turned and bit Karina on her side. She yelped with pain and lifted her dress to see the mark. A dark purple bruise was forming.
"Hmph." Karina batted him on the muzzle and finished tacking him up.

"A pack mule?" Garex asked sardonically at Marvilan, the dark-haired Guardian arriving and leading a dappled gray war stallion. The muscled beast pawed the ground, eager to leave. As was its rider.
Aedhon trotted up on a sleek roan. He'd discarded his robes for a tunic similar in design - brown with tendrils of flame stretching up its sides - and prudent trousers. His ivory staff hung strapped to the saddle. "Apologies for our lateness," he offered with a wince and a furtive glance at his Guardian. "My breakfast burnt - no actually I didn't burn them, I spilled my tea first looking for my spellbook and then - actually I did burn them, but it wasn't my fault because the tea was rather hot though I don't know - well, I left it on the fire too long, but that's not the point - "
"What he's trying to say is that he's an incompetent idiot who apologies for his lack of grace," Garex finished mercifully.
Aedhon's gloomy silence said it all.

Marvilan laughed mirthlessly before saying, "No, I don't think so."
(For god's sake, just let him bring it)

[*shrug* looked like Aerandir had a plot idea that might go against it, but whatever]

It does make things a little more difficult, since it reduces the 'group' part of the quest, but I can always find a way for it to be destroyed in the future.

Feyl finally inclined his head in a brief and reluctant nod. The amount of equipment the Bekaran wanted to take was ridiculous, but if he thought he needed it, then so be it.
"You may take your Aeroengine along, but once we are in enemy territory, you are never to go far in it, or to get to a high altitude--there's small chance the Gohl won't hear us coming, but we don't have to let them see us, regardless."
He cast a spell that moved his saddle onto Fireheart's back, where he secured it. Handling horses was not something he enjoyed, but at least he knew how to get a saddle and bridle on, not that Fireheart needed them. Dorlan, he noticed, already had his own horse, Argalon, saddled, the warhorse standing patiently while everyone else got ready.

Eshtok walked through the stable, looking over the horses with a practiced eye. He choose one-a tall gelding, with a grey coat and dark mane and tail. He entered the stall, careful not to startle the animal, and started running his hands over him. It was a good horse-strong legs and chest. Eshtok led the horse from it's stall, carrying the tack in his other hand.

"Relax," Marvilan said. "As long as I don't drive too fast, it's completely silent. As for sight, when I'm up in the air, I'll turn on a cloaking device. Anyways, do you have any supplies that needs carrying?"

Karina mounted Bizmark and rode out from the stables. The argument seemed to have stopped and she sighed inwardly. Fighting never got anyone anywhere. She stopped her mount and waited for the others.

The silent part is fine, Caunion, but the cloaking shield seems a little advanced right now. If they can't see you, and they can't hear you, what's the fun of the RPG?

Feyl shook his head. "Years of traveling teaches a person to travel light. Excessive luggage is something our women (:D) are prone to have, but no male Kor'daera or Human would travel with lots of luggage."
He's got enough equipment to supply an army, he thought wryly to Dorlan.
At least he doesn't take as much as my mother, the Guardian replied, a mixture of humor and relief evident in his mental voice.
"Who are we waiting for, still?" Feyl asked. Almost everyone seemed present, but---oh. Gwyria wasn't here. The other Kor'daera. It was just like a woman to be late when setting off on the most important quest of the millenium.

No offence meant to any females.

Eshtok finished saddling the horse he had chosen. (It's name was Cahal, he had found out from a stable hand). He glanced at his small knapsack. He supposed that fit the description of travelling lightly.
