Marie sighed deeply and looked into Logan's eyes. "What was that back there? She didn't know about Jean... how could she? She didn't mean any harm." She told him softly and kept her hand on his arm, but loosened her grip slightly. She was really worried about Logan's sudden temper with the newcomer.

Scott shook his head to Cora and sighed deeply. "No... it's okay. You didn't know." He told her softly and looked down to the ground. He was still really depressed about the whole situation and scarred.

Cora nodded meakly. "I lied earlier, I wasn't the first one to call myself Phoenix. I was having a nightmare, I don't remember what, but next thing I knew, I woke to find the orphange, I was in, on fire. I was the last one out of the building. Not one single burn, They said I was like a phoenix, rising from the flames." Cora didn't know why she was telling Scott her deepest secret, especially since she never told any one before. "5 people died, 2 staff, and three kids. Alot of others were hurt, burned, or had smoke damage. I was thought to be lucky, until they discovered my room, my bed, was the sorce of the fire. They tried to arrest me, called the goverment, so I ran. I was ten at the time." Cora looked up at the Scott, she was kicking her self mentally, she had tol her self never to tell any one about what had happened.

Logan's shoulders slumped, when Rogue spoke. He knew she was right, but his anger remained. However he was able to keep it somewhat in check around his young friend.
"It's too soon" he said softly, his mind wandering.
"Something is not right, I can feel it." he finished, re-lighting his cigar and taking a long, drawn out drag from it. Exhaling the rough smoke out slowly.

Scott stared at Cora as she told him her story. "Wow... that's crazy..." He told her softly and sighed a bit. He would've never had known that had happened to her, if she hadn't of told him.

Marie took a deep breath and looked into Logan's eyes. "I know that you miss her, Logan... we all do. But, it's been a while since she's been gone." She told him softly and rested her hand on his shoulder.

Logan nodded slowly
"It don't get any easier kid. I thought it would, I thought I was getting past it all. Then she showed up, it brought it all back. Everything I had to do" he paused, deep in thought of the memories of Alcatraz "Being responsible for ending her life" he paused again, collecting himself "even though it had to be done, to save everyone. To save Jean."

He looked out over the garden and towards Jean's headstone, pain in his eyes.
"It still hurts"

Marie sighed deeply and nodded to Logan slowly. "I know..." She told him softly and slowly walked over to him, wrapping her arms around his waist and hugging him, for comfort. She didn't want him to be sad anymore.

Cora sighed. "Yeah, I thought I was too, the dreams. Then just as I learned to control th fire 2 years later, I could make things move with my mind, I got angrye and it just happened." She looked up at Scott. "this is the first place i was ever welcomeed since I was 10."
