Cloudya gasped as she saw the wepons they sported. She stiffened, instinctively allowing herself to become one with Altadon's sences. "Just let us land easily..." She said more to herself then her two conpanions.

Altadon dove into the trees and landed in another clearing allowing his ridders to dimount before taking back to the skys. Cloudya drew her sword and stepped intot he medow.

"Not yet... wait a bit." Gold Dusk said watching what was happning.

Meriana really wanted to shoot. she saw her friends dash out of the woods and waited.

Darren Reconized his father and went to him. "father.."
Darren's Father saw him. " good your alright, did you take care of the job." he said looking at his son with doubtful eyes.
Darren sighed. " no i did not and i don't entend to.." he said standing up to his father for once.
" well then son, you've become the enemy." he pulled out his sword and jumped off his horse and swung it at Darren.
Darren pulled out the sword that Cloudya had givin him and he met his father's sword.
" well then thats a pretty sword you've got." he said as he took another swing.
it was like the blade was moving for darren. he was amazed at this blade. he was distracted with how beautiful it was and did not keep his eye on the target ( his father) and Handidon, his father slashed his side. and Darren fell to the ground.

at that time Meriana let loose her arrow and missed because of her anger. she gasped and relized she had just given away their hiding spot.

Handidon looked into the woods and sent his men looking where that came from.
Meriana wasnt going to be taken out there. she drew her sword and ran out and killed the two men coming for her. she tried to kill the next 4 that came but it was too much they caught her. <i> my love please stay where you are.</i> she thought to Gold Dusk.

Hanidon looked surprised. " well well, look what he have here."
Darren tried to get up but there were already men holding him where he lay.

Hanidon walked over to Meriana. " hm, maybe we shouldnt kill you, maybe i should just marry you and have you for myself.." he said as he ran a finger under her chin.
Meriana jerked her head away.

Cloudya ran from the woods moving in a silent blur. She slashed upward dropping one man to his kneese only to spin slicing another man open at the middle. Before she knew it she stood alone in the medow Darren's father pinned to the ground wit her dagger. "Darren!!!" She cried rushing to his side, and cradleing him in her arms. "Altadon!!! She screamed both out loud and mentally.

Gold Dusk dashed out into the medow grabbing the first large stick he could find. He procedded to whack Meriana's guards over the head and knocking Darren's father flat on his back.

Darren looked at Cloudya. " i'm fine..just a scratch." he said.

the gaurds who had Meriana would not be hit down so easily with a stick and Hanidon stood ready to fight, his small dager in his hand.
Meriana was thrown to the side and one of the gaurds was put watch over her, the other gaurd and Hanidon were ready to fight.

Darren stood up slowly.. "darling i'm fine, please don't worry." he said grabing the sword.

"Very well..." She said releaing her holdon his arm and picking up her sword from where it lay.

Altadon landed in the clearing on silent wings. The shadows of the trees served to hide him from the others there.

Hanidon was the first to launch out at Gold Dusk he lundged at his neck ready to kill.

Meriana was tarrifyed. if they found the hurd. her family and all that she holds dear would be killed.

Cloudya charged at Hanidon bringing the flat of her sword dwon across his back and knocking him to the ground. She could hear his rasping breathing and knew he was still alive. She wispered into his ear, "I warned you what would happen if you ever set foot into MY vally trader... give me one good reason why I shouldn't kill you where you stand."

Hanidon sighed heavily and rolled over so he could look at her. " my dear i give you no reason why you should not kill me. but..if you do kill me. i swear it the whole town will be out looking for me and if they find me dead they will track down you and your beast and kill you both." he said cruelly

Meriana had been thinking of a way to get away from the gaurds. she pulled a shiv from her pocket and threw it at a gaurd. while the other one was in shock as the other gaurd fell next to him. Meriana stood fast and grabed her weapon and stabed the other man. she did not get away before being stabed her self, in the thigh. she yelled out in pain and then killed the guy.
she looked at Gold Dusk and limped over to him.
Hanidon's men were all gone now. none were left.

Darren walked over to Cloudya and put a hand on her sholder. " let me talk to him." he wispered.

Gold Dusk pulled Meriana into a protective embrace. "You're hurt my love ..." He said seeing the wound on her leg.

Cloudya got up and wiped her sword on the grass before resheathing it.
Altadon stepped out of the shadows lowering his head for her to scratch.

Darren's rage taking over he pulled out his sword.
" i will no longer live by your cruel rules or be controled by your malice. and no one else will either!" he yelled the last bit and plunged his sword into his father's heart. he stood there for a minuet and then droped the sword and backed away. he was slightly surprised at what he did. he looked at everyone else then ran back into the woods running back twards what now was home to him.

Meriana watched Darren intently as he killed his father, she knew he would do it eventually. she was not sad or sorry for his father one bit. she shook her mind out of that anger mode and looked at Gold Dusk. " i'm fine..don't worry about me." she said leaning into him. she was hurt she let him know how bad the pain was by how tight she was griping onto his shirt.

Cloudya took some herbs and treated Meriana's wound. She smiled at the two. "Gold Dusk ... take her home and both of you get some sleep. I'm going to check on Darren." She climbed up onto Altadon's back and they were soon flying above the clearing.

Meriana watched Cloudya go. she looked up at gold Dusk. " we cant just leave these bodies here." she said looking at Darren's father, a man she knew so well, but she hated him, he had killed her family. Meriana's eyes drifted back to Gold Dusk. " come on help me get them somewhere. maybe we could burn them. no too close to the village, lets just barry them." she said steping away from Gold Dusk and trying to walk twards a body.


Darren had run all the way to the cave. he was now sitting on the ledge of the cave cursing to himself and getting his anger out. he then felt a soft wind on his face. he stood up and sighed. he looked out across the valley. he saw mermaid lake and the centar's meadow he saw smoke from their houses and sighed. he felt his anger fade away as he looked around at his new home for good.

Altadon landed softly behind Darren and Cloudya slid from his back. She watched Darren for a moment before walking up behind her and wrapping her arms round him. "I love you..." She wispered pressing her face against his back.

Cloudya gripped his hands her smile darkaning with sadness. "I ... " She turned away from him the last light of evening tinting her blond hair a rich gold.
