Cloudya turned a blank uncomprehending stare on Meriana revealing her eyes had a fever like glazed look and her face was pale. She looked as though she haddn't slept or eaten in days.

She clinched her hands into fists in her lap. "Get out ..." She said angrily.

" cloudya, please.." she saw the anger and was frightend a bit. she stood up and stumbled out of the room. she looked around for Altadon " Altadon!?" Meriana looked around franticly.

Altadon looked up from where he sat on the ledge, thenstood and turned and stepped into the cave.
"I'm here Meriana... What happened?" He asked seeinf the frightenend look on her face. He tried not to show how worried he was about cloudya, but the look in his eyes revealed his feelings.

Meriana ran over to him. " she spoke to me, but she told me to leave, thats all she said" she paused and thought for a moment. " the anger in her eyes frightened me..." she said looking at the ground. " will you take me home?" she asked almost in tears, she was so scared.

"Certainly ..." Altadon said gently lifting Meriana from where she stood before leaping from the ledge. "How can I get through to her?" He asked as they sored over the tree tops.

Gold Dusk had gone back to his house and was sitting by the fireplace rading a book.

Altadon landed in the clearing where Gold Dusk's house stood. He sat Meriana down. "All she needs is time ..." He said, more to reassure himself then to Meriana.

Gold Dusk heard voices outside and opened the door. "Altadon?" He asked suprised at the dragon's human shape.

Meriana got out of his arms and sighed. she looked Altadon in the eye. " if you need anything we'll help you. i have a feeling i will be checking on her a lot, no matter what you say, dear altadon." she said before hugging him.
Meriana looked at the door when Gold Dusk opened the door.

Altadon stepped back from the light that spilled from the doorway. "I should go..." He disapeared into the twilight.

"Don't worry about it love. Cloudya needed you, and I was more then willing to wait." Gold Dusk pulled her into a hug and just held her. "I was a little suprised to see Altadon still in his human form. A dragon don't usually keep that shape for long periods of timel."

Altadon flew back to the cave. Cloudya had finally fallen asleep. He made a thin soup for when she awakened which she did when she smelled the soup. Altadon turned hearing her awaken. "Cloudya?" He asked softly watching her. She seemed to be more her old self now.

Meriana wraped her arms around Gold Dusk and held him as long as she could. " really. you know, he is her first love, maybe he likes to just hold her every once and awhile. like you and i, dear." she said fondly.

Altadon walked over and gently placed a hand against Coudya's cheek. "Bonded ..." He said sencing her anguish.

Cloudya sat up wrapping her arms round him and pressing her face against his chest as hot tears spilled down her cheeks. Altadon just held her letting her cry.

Meriana ran home, she stepped up into the house as quietly as she could. she slowly opened the door and went in. she saw that Galitaia was already asleep. so she tip toed into her room. she was expecting to find may asleep or staring out the window. but she wasnt there. <i> wow...maybe she's still with Sun Fire</i> Meriana crawled into bed and then blew out her lamp. she was fast asleep. but her dreams did not let her sleep well.
