Brendon pulled up the sleve on his jacket. "Look ..." He said holding out his arm so she could see the long white scar. "It's not just the dream, it's the memory of what happened."

Shonnalen smiled feeling Bret's strong arm around her. She turned to look at him, but got light headed. She grabbed the front of his shirt as her legs gave out. She clossed her eyes leaning her forhead against his chest as her head throbbed.

Bret caught her. " it's getting worse isnt it." he said not wanting to believe what was going to happen.
he kissed her forehead.

Trudy frowned. she ran her thumb over the scar and then kissed it. " Brendon, i'm sorry that happend." she said.
she looked up at the stars and then back at him. " brendon we cant keep pretending Shonnalen isnt going to get sick." she said very seriously.

Ace walked into the room next to Brendon and Trudy's room. it wasnt full of much. just a bed a lamp that hardly worked. a vanity and thats all. it had a few storage items in it as well. she cleared what she didnt need out and found a handy bed in a bag type thing and made the bed. after she was done she sat on the bed and sighed. she thought about the oldest girl there. their leader, shonnalen, she looked older. she knew that these people would have to go through something tarrible. should she tell them her secret...the secret about her parents...she wasnt sure.

"I ... I'm sorry." Shonnalen said as the throbbing subsided. She took a deep breath relaxing for a moment before pulling away from Bret. "I should have said something, I just didn't want to believe it. I knew several months ago, I just pushed it off as being tired or stress headaches, but it only got worse." She turned to look at him. "I don't want the others to know just yet, I don't want them to worry."

Brendon tilted his head back looking up at the stars. "I know that, but you know just as well as I do how hard it is to imagin her getting sick." He pulled the sleve of his jacket back down.

Trudy nodded and sat on the ground. " yeah, i know." she crossed her legs and looked up at the stars as well.
" i think shonnalen thinks we dont know, or we dont understand." she said being honest.
" and what do you think about this Ace person." she asked looking up at him.


Bret sighed. " have you ever thought that there might be a cure?" he asked. stroking her cheek looking into her eyes.

"What am I suposed to think about her?" Brendon asked. "She comes out of nowhere and knocks me into a very akward position... litterally... then askes if we can hide her somewhere, why? because aparently som guy... which she can't decsribe ... is chaseing her." He looked at Trudy. " I don't know what to think about her."

"I know there was suposed to be one, and even if there was, there is no way I would be able to afford it. The scientist who were suposed to be finding the cure all went underground several years ago, and no one has heard anything else from them." She shook her head slowly and reached up to cover his hand. "Yes I have thought about a cure many times, it crosses my mind every time I have an attack."

Trudy sighed. " yeah i get what you mean." she giggled and knocked his locked leg with her fist making him fall on his rump. " it wasnt that awkward" she laughed.

Bret sighed. " yeah.." he rubbed the back of his neck. " my brother, was one of those sientics(sp)..my twin brother.." he said.." i was never sapoused to tell anyone. but his name is Allen.." he said.

Brendon smilled sheepishly and looked at the ground between his feet. "OK... it wasn't that akward, but still..."

"What are you saying? That you have a way to get the antidote if there is one?" Shonnalen asked watching him carefully.

Brendon stood and brushed off the seat of his pants, then offered Trudy a hand up. "Yeah we should get back ... it's getting late."

"No one knows where the actual hidding place is. I know ... I've read the reports, not to mention having looked myself several years ago." She leaned her forehead against Bret's chest and closed her eyes.

Bret sighed. " i know where they are." he said..." there at the hospital...but the area is blocked off and there is a seprate entrance." he said softly. he wraped his arms around her.

Trudy got up and jumped on Brendon's back. " i wanna a piggy back ride." she smiled and then kissed his cheek.

Brendon caught her and then got her situated on his back. "Sure." He carried her back to the mall grinning like a cheshire cat the whole time.

when they got back ace had gotten her room all situated everything looked almost perfect. she laid on her bed.
Trudy and Brendon came in laughing and giggling.
Ace heard them downstairs and got up. she walked out of her room and to the rail.
Trudy looked up and waved.
