Once Darius finished with his meal, he made sure Rosalina was resting comfortably before gathering the dishes and taking them to the kitchen.

"I know, Gareth," Calista whispered. "And thank you. You are the best man I have ever known," she added. Seeing Darius carry the dishes to the kitchen she smiled slightly and looked up at the man. "Leave them and go be with Rosalina. I will take care of them later," she remarked.
"Thanks," Darius said softly and gave her a small smile before returning to the guestroom.

Walking back into the guestroom, a small smile traced Darius' lips as he saw Rosalina sleeping peacefully. Sitting at the edge of the bed, he leaned over and lightly placed a kiss to her temple, hoping that her rest would continue to be peaceful.

"Calista, you are working yourself to hard," Gareth remarked with a shake of his head after both had finished their meals.
"I will be fine, my love. Please do not worry," Calista said softly before leaning forward and lightly kissing the mage on the lips.

Slowly rising from her chair, Calista gathered hers and Gareth's dishes while the mage gathered Darius' and Rosalina's. "Rose, don't strain yourself. Let me carry those," he told her softly.
"It's okay, I have them," Calista whispered as she struggled under their weight. Shaking his head, Gareth took another set of dishes from her and balanced it with the two he already had. "Don't argue with me," he told her quietly before walking outside with his load of dishes.

Lying down beside Rosalina then, he gently took the woman in his arms.

Following the mage, Calista sighed softly, hating how useless she was feeling. Walking slowly up to the well, she saw that Gareth had already drawn the water needed to wash the dishes. Remembering suddenly that she had forgotten a rag, Calista set her small pile of dishes on the side before walking slowly back into the house.

Glancing over at Rosalina as she began to cough, Darius tensed slightly but slowly relaxed as she fell back asleep.

After grabbing the rag, Calista slowly made her way outside and started to wash the dishes with the water that Gareth fetched for her.
"Rose, you really should be resting," Gareth said softly.
"I'll rest later," Calista replied softly as she gave him a small smile.

After a few minutes, Darius drifted into a light sleep, ready to awaken at a moment's notice in case Rosalina should need his help.

After Calista finished washing the dishes, Gareth carried them into the house and put them away. About to follow the mage back into the house, a sharp pain tore through Calista's abdominal area and she doubled over, a cry of pain escaping from her lips.

As he was making his way back outside, Gareth heard Calista cry out and broke into a run. Seeing her doubled over with a hand on her abdomen, the mage just knelt at her side when he reached her. "Love..." he whispered as he pulled her into his arms.
"My stomach..." Calista panted as a frown passed over her face and another groan escaped from her lips as another wave of pain hit her.

Hearing Rosalina start to whimper, Darius awoke immediately. "Ro?" he whispered softly and gently shook her.

Feeling a wave of nausea suddenly envelop her senses, Calista turned away from Gareth as she vomited whatever she had eaten, before groaning as another pain hit.
Feeling worry fill him, Gareth gently scooped Calista in his arms. "I'm taking you back to bed," he murmured to her. As she wrapped an arm around his neck, Calista merely nodded, already in too much pain to protest.
