Alex stood in line at the Starbucks. She mentally thanked God that all her airports had some sort of cafeinne that she could inhale. The Louisiana native was a notorious caffeine junkie. Now, her body clock had been thrown out the window, she felt dirty from the plane ride (the far too long plane ride); yes, coffee was necessity at this point.

She crossed her arms and looked at what she had deemed her 'ghetto fabulous' razor phone - it had lost the back and now purple duck tape held her battery in place. Sighing, she moved the device around trying to find decent service and was mildly happy that she wasn't the only one - a buisness man behind her was perfoming the same ritual.

"Grande java chip frappachino, please," she spouted off automatically to the barista, completely forgetting that they probably needed it in a slower cadence as most people's english was not perfect and her 'southern' accent didn't help the problem much. She was pleasantly surprised that the woman behind the bar simply nodded and smiled.

"Awesome!" She exclaimed as she recieved her coffee. Alex was officially ready to face the world of the living. Coffee and carry on in hand she meandered into the crowd to find her luggage.

The girl easily spotted her zebra striped luggage and hauled it off the track.

Nienna grinned, "Sure then Padawan. Let us get out of here."

"Fantabulous, Nienna."
Leaning over to grab her stuff she caught sight of a set of zebera striped luggage being taken off the nearby track. How odd, she thought to herself. The only person I've ever seen with that kind of luggage is...

"Alex!"
Poking Nienna, she pointed at the girl with the 'ghetto fabulous' razor phone. "Nienna, that's Alex over there! How strange is this that we're all here in Hamburg at the same time and in the same airport?!"

Nienna's grin grew wider, "Is it Really? How Cool is that!!" She laughed, brushing of Paddy's poke, "Let's go say Hi!!"

Alex turned around and gave a half-wave that looked more like she was flashing a peace sign. She gave a smile and ambled over towards the group, looking anything but surprised while she sipped her coffee contentedly.

"Hey, y'all," she replied, her friendly southern drawl rolling easily off her tongue and sounding odd admist the harsher German tongue surronding the group. "How's it going?" She asked and took another sip of her coffee.

"I'm here to try out a few horses for someone at my barn. She's been looking for one that can be trained up to pre-St. George," She responded easily, finishing with a slurp of her drink.

"Weired, huh?" She questioned, "Well, I don't know it that's so surprising, y'all always seem to attract weird." She chuckled and pointed to herself as an example, "Case and point right here."

Nia smiled, "It's going good Alex!" She then laughed, "Yah...things are going pretty weird..."

She nodded again and shook her drink to mix it up. "Well, weird is not always a bad thing. Sometimes I like to refer to weird as 'fate.' As a matter of fact, I think I'll refer to it so now. It is a weird string of fate that brought us together. Here's hoping that it isn't for something bad, but an amazing adventure." She laughed and held her drink up as if making a toast.
