Darius' choking only grew worse as he bit his tongue and blood filled his mouth. As the moments wore on, the man's skin turned a darker blue as he went without air for a longer period of time. After about five more minutes, his convulsions finally ceased and his body fell limply on the bed as his eyes rolled back and closed and his grip on Rosalina's hand slackened.

Rosalina didn't waste any time, she ran to Calista's room, banging on the door.

Hearing the loud knock, Gareth awoke with a start. Forgetting Calista had fallen asleep on him, he accidently hit her, which caused her to fall off of him and bump her head against the headboard.
"Oww!" Calista complained sleep still hanging on her voice as she rubbed her stinging cheek with one hand and the back of her head with the other.
"I'm sorry," Gareth said quickly as he gently cupped her face between his hands. "Is it bad?" he asked her as he gently removed her hand from her face to examine her reddening cheek. Leaning forward he lightly kissed her wounded cheek before giving her an apologetic smile. "I will make amends to you for it later," he remarked as the knocking at the door grew more incessant. "I promise," he added as he disentangled himself from the bed and got up to answer the door. Opening the door seconds later, he saw a frantic Rosalina outside. "What is it?" he asked her gently.

"What is going on?" Calista murmured as she slowly tried to push herself from the bed only to have her legs buckle beneath her and she crumpled to the ground.
"Rose, stay in bed!" Gareth exclaimed as he rushed back to her and picked her up before sitting her back on the bed. "Something is wrong with Darius," he whispered in her ear as her eyes widened. "I am going with Rosalina to see if I can help him," he told her before pulling back. "And you just need to rest," he added as she opened her mouth to speak.
"But-" Calista started to protest.
"Stay here." Gareth told her firmly before he rose to his feet and nodded at Rosalina. "What happened?" Gareth asked as the two raced back to the guestroom, figuring it best to get specifics instead of trying to speculate what happened and guess at the best form of treatment.

Nodding grimly as he stepped into the room, Gareth walked over to the bed. Placing his ear next to his nose and mouth, Gareth checked to see if the man was breathing. Finding that he wasn't, the mage quickly cleaned out Darius' mouth a bit and started mouth to mouth.

"Come on," Gareth murmured as he paused for a moment to catch his breath before continuing to perform mouth to mouth on Darius.

Growing restless after a few minutes, Calista tried to rise from the bed again only to feel her legs wobble beneath her. Stumbling forward, she finally managed to grab onto the lone table for support, pausing to catch her breath as she did so. I cannot stay here, she thought to herself. I must find a way to help him, she thought as she stumbled from the room.

After about five minutes, Darius started to cough and Gareth quickly turned the man on his side as he started to retch out vomit mingled with blood.

Finally making it out of her room, Calista leaned against the wall to draw in a deep breath. After a few minutes she made her way to the guestroom. "Is everything all right?" she asked Rosalina and Gareth a bit breathlessly. Hearing her voice, Gareth quickly turned his attention to her. "Calista, what are you doing up?" Gareth questioned her. "I thought I told you to rest!"
"I was worried..." Calista said softly, as she silently pleaded with Gareth not to send her away.

Gareth sighed softly, not in the mood to fight with Calista now. "We will discuss this later," he told her before turning his attention back to Darius. When the man stopped vomiting, Gareth gently laid Darius on his back again. As she stepped closer, Calista frowned as she glanced down at Darius' left arm. "His arm popped out of its socket," she whispered softly, noticing the grotesque angle it was in.

"Do not feel bad," Calista whispered as she placed a hand on her shoulder. "You were worried for Darius' life. It is easier to overlook injuries that are not life threatening," she added.
"If it makes you feel any better, Rosalina, I did not notice either," Gareth said softly. Sighing the mage could only shake his head. "Looks like I am going to have to try and see if I can pop his arm back in his socket," he remarked and Calista tried hard not to wince at his words.
