Lili turned at the sound of a branch snapping.

Cloudya had been out flying and had senced danger. Altadon landed snapping a few branches on his way down.
Cloudya slid from Altadon's back and looked at the pink dragon. Movement in the trees caught her attention and she looked up.

Darren looked down and gasped. " oh my goodness." he said to himself hoping she didn't hear him. he climbed down from the tree and slowly walked over to her. " cloudya?" he said smiling reaching out to hug her.

Atadon had stepped back into the shadow of the trees, and there took on his human form. He saw Darren reach out for her and stepped into the light. "Cloudya!" He called.
His blue hair had been braided back and a light blue cloak covered his wings. He stepped toward Cloudya protectively.

Cloudya gasped and recoiled from Darren's embrace. "Don't touch me!" She said as she retreated to Altadon's side. "Take me home ... I am not needed here." She said softly as she leaned her forehead against his chest.

Lili transformed into her humanform as well and leaned against a tree. She watched as the other dragon (in human form) picked up the girl and walked into the woods. "Who was that?" Lili asked tartly.

Darren remembered his love for Cloudya when he saw her. he took there barely blinking as he watched her take off. "my love" he said softly as she flew away. two tiny tears rolled down his cheeks. he ignored Lili's question and just stared at the spot where he had last seen Cloudya. the look on her face kept coming back to his mind. <i> does she still love me?</i> he asked himself.

Meriana stood there and sighed as the meeting was inturupted. she turned to everyone there and decided that now was as good a time as ever to tell her secret.
" everyone, i would like to make an anoucment..." she said. she was nervous but spoke up anyway. " my husband may not know this yet...but...we are expecting a child in the winter." she blushed.

Lili held him, and began to ruffle through his memories. She found several of the girl they had just seen. She found one and pushed it to the front of his mind. Who is she Bonded? She asked pulling away and looking up at him. "It is not I that holds your heart ..." She turned and sat down next to a tree. "You love her ..." She said softly. "And yet she refuses you. Why?"

Gold Dusk grinned as his suspicions were confirmed. A loud cheer went up from the others gathered in the meadow.

Cloudya had regained her composure and had gone down to the meadow to meet with Meriana and the centaur elders at sundown. She called the meeting to order and smile at Meriana. "That is good to hear Meriana, however I'm afraid the news I have to give is a little less cheerful. It seems that over the winter there have been raids on the border villagers to the south of us, and they have begun to move c loser to Dragon's Peak. I visited the villages earlier this morning. It seems that our confrontation with the Traders is not yet finished. They burned the houses of many helpless and peaceful creatures. Many were slain, the ones that weren’t either escaped, or were taken captive and are more then likely being used as slaves now. As the protector of the valley I am not asking you to join me... I am merely asking that you be on your guard." She waited as her words sank in.

when Cloudya walked up Meriana took her place beside Gold Dusk and took his hand.
Cloudya's words hit her like an arrow to the head. "Cloudya..i would like to be the first to help you." she spoke up. " i cannot just be on my guard i want to help you.." she said.

Darren nodded. " i do love her...oh lili...you do hold my heart...but only half of it.." he said taking her hands in his. " Cloudya is my frist love.." he said.
he sighed as she asked why she refused him. " she refuses me becuase, i went away to find you. so i could be with her. but i fell in love with you..and a part of me didn't want to go back..but seeing her just then has brought every memory back every touch every kiss. " he said, his eyes full of emotion

"I don't want half of it Darren, I want all of it. I need you to concentrate all of it on your training! You can't train if your concentration is elseware fociusing on that girl. She is a diestractoin . you must forget about her for now." Lili looked up at him, then stood. "you can either stay with me ... or go after her. Either way you know where home is..." She turned and letp into the air.

Cloudya looked at Meriana. "If what you said earlier was true, then what I ask of you is this... if I send anyone to you, care for them until they can care for themselves." She didn't want to put Meriana in any undue danger, and having someone to help her care for the sick and wounded that were flooding in from the borders was going to be a large task.

Lili flew back to the cave and started to tidy up. When that was done she took on her true form and caught her dinner before going back to the cave and curling up in her favorite nich on the floor. If Darren called she would come, but not until then.

Darren looked both ways. he looked twards the way Cloudya went. he wanted to go that way. but the other half of his heart was telling him to go home. he looked to where Lili flew off. he loved her too.. he rubbed the bridge of his nose. "ugh" he grond. <i> why...</i> he thought.
he started walking twards his cave where Lili probably was.
