Gold Dusk nodded . "I would be honored to help Lady Cloudya in any way possible, and if that is how she needs my help, then I will gladly give it."

One by one the rest of the centars agreed to help as well. Cloudya nodded her thanks to the centars and then climbed up into the saddle strapped to Altadon's back.

Lili settled herself back into her hollow and closed her eyes. She could tell he was troubled and decided to let him be.

Meriana waved goodbye to Cloudya and Altadon and watched as the centars trickled out of the meadow. she stood there with the wind blowing about her. today she had chosen to wear a flowing pink dress. the top layer of the dress was sheer and then second layer a light pink miterial. she smiled at Gold Dusk. " well, husband...your going to be a daddy...what do you think of that?" she asked grining.

Gold Dusk got up and stood behind her. He wrapped his arms round her, lightly resting his hands on her stomach. "I couldn't be happier." He hugged her, and then leaned down to kiss her cheek. "Are you happy?" He asked looking at her.

Cloudya and Altadon patroled the borders of the valley one last time. Cloudya closed her eyes allowing Altadon entrence to her mind. She senced what he senced, saw what he saw. She didn't like what she was seeing, but she didn't mention it knowing Altadon already knew what she felt.

Lili sat on the ledge outside the cave her back to the entrance and Darren. She had taken her hair down and was brushing it out. Her wings were spred slightly to catch the rays of the morning sun.

"Lili?" he said forgetting his excitment of lighting the fire on his own. his mind went to the day before. he thought Lili may be mad at him. he walked slowly beside her and sat down.


Meriana woke up and felt something warm and sticky between her legs. she looked down and in a horror and panic. there was blood. she freaked out and started screaming.

Lili turned at athe sound of Darren's voice. "What is it bonded?' SHe sked softly. He seemed tired. She reached over to run a hand through his hair.

" i made fire." he grined.

Tears started pouring from her eyes. she knew what this was. this had happend to her real mother a few months before Meriana set on that fateful jernouy twards the meadow where the centars were. " i-i.." she began sobbing. " i think i just lost our baby." she said sobbing more.

Gold Dusk didn't know what to say, so he didn't say anything. He wrappe a blanket round Meriana and pulled her close rocking her. "Shh my love... Do you want to go to the Old one?" He asked gently knowng that perhaps the wisdom of the elder could ease the pain in Meriana's heart.

Gold Dusk carefully heated the water and poured it into the tub. When he had filled the tub he went back to Meriana. He gently lifted her and carried her to the tub, then helped her step in. Once she was settled he got her brush and began to brush her hair out.
