Nessa didn't hear him, busy getting Mark off the wet floor and onto somewhere even semi-dry. She turned belatedly, though, looking confused. "Who's Danny - oh, oh, oh..." she gasped, holding her ankle and squeezing her eyes shut against the pain.

"Do I look all right?" Alex snapped hoarsely, his chest stabbing from the exertion. He coughed, and blood trickled from his mouth.

Outside, the two allosauruses couldn't fit into the cave. The first carnivore poked its head in and uttered a deafening roar.

"Well, excuse me for caring!" Nessa hissed back at him. She swayed a little, putting a hand to her head.

She looked apprehensively toward the entrance to the cave, but the dinosaurs seemed to have hit an impass.

Lee cried out as the breath of the allasourous came through the cave, the wind blwoing her down. She saw it turn it's head and look at them with an large, yellow eye. She turned and yelled, "You guys! Stop fighting! It won't help! Right now, we need each other! It's the only way we will survive!"

Half-conscious, Chris took off his shirt and pressed it against his wound. Vague he heard the voices of Nessa, Lee and Alex but he said nothing. He wondered if his brother was there, but then shook his head bewildered with closed eyes. He couldn't be here, he couldn't.

Lee sighed and watched the dinosaurs lay down in front of the cave entrance. "Great..." She muttered.

"At least - they - can't get - in," said Nessa with difficulty. She sat against the wall of the cave, shivering and looking exhausted almost to the point of fainting.

Lee nodded as she sat up and then turned, coughing up more blood in the corner.

As the night progressed, the dinosaurs shifted position several times but never moved far enough away to make an escape possible. The group fell into varying stages of drowsiness and sleep, and when they woke up the allosauruses were nowhere to be seen.

Nessa hadn't slept well - her ankle still hurt and she was freezing cold. She didn't look at all well, either, judging from her white face and shallow breathing.

The first thing Alex said when he woke up was, "Does anyone have a donut?"

He regretted the action almost immediately, as his head throbbed and more agony stabbed through his chest. He bent down, coughing up more blood. Where were all the doctors when you needed them?

Lee awoke and looked around, knowing they needed food, water, and warmth if they where ever going to survive. Her whole body was stiff from the sleep and her ankle hurt more than ever.

Chris had a restless sleep, in the phase between being asleep and awake, he'd had the strangest dreams. Once in a while he woke up, by the pain from his wounds, a little later he dozed off again.

When he woke up, he didn't feel any better excecpt that everything around him seemed solid again. Next to him he noticed Alex' face had a grey color and he coughed blood. With difficulty Chris crawled over to him.
"Watch it mate, what happened? Is there something wrong with your lungs..?"
