"That is what we are trying to figure out." Aeryn said, mentioning him and Roanell.

Eligh turned toward Inanco,

"There are..." He looked at Zhicoal, "What are they called?" Zhicoal then took over,

"There are reptilian creatures, Julare, in the canyon. They mean trouble. And I think it has to do with the Toru-hi's death."

Aeryn turned and tried to listen to what these people where saying.

Inanco frowned. "Creatures? There can't be- we've never seen anyone besides us in the canyon."
Don't be naive Aras said to the boy.

Kithsytha watched silently, asking Aeryn. Do we trust these people? Aeryn glanced at the eagle and shrugged. Why not? Kithsytha scowled and said, They could be willing to kill us.... Aeryn frowned at her and said, I trust them. Kithsytha frowned but she backed off and let Aeryn listen to the confresation again.

Eligh sighed.

"I wish they wern't here... But I saw them with my own eyes. Hundreds of black creatures, julare, crawling across the canyon." He looked back at Zhicoal.

"If this has anything to do with the Toru-hi, We have to seek help, or risk the whole tribe."

((FYI, everyone, Mienora was going to be the home of the elves, but I am changing that to centuars, as for my story, I don't want to copy Tolkien. :D ))

((Ok, sorry for the double post, but I'm part posting, part plot-thickening, part bumping this thread.))

Zhicoal nodded. "True, sadly true, Eligh." he looked across the room. "All of you here. You need to leave here. You need to seek help. And answers." He looked all of the room's inhabitence in the eye, "You must travel to Mienora, to the centuars. they will help you in everway you can, as long as they know that I have sent you. They will no this by-" Zhicoal was going to keep explaining, but Eligh quickly cut in.

"B-but, Zhicoal, you can't simply think that we would.. Just... Fly off to a world we've never been to and expect people to help us! The Yanua havn't had contact with anyone, much less the centuars in over twelve hundred years." He stared at the elderly man as if he had grown an extra head, "There must be another way to-" Zhicoal cut Eligh's ragings off.

"There isn't! There never will be! That is the one mistake our ancestors made, Eligh, isolating ourselves from the rest of Neboia! And if we don't do something about it..." He quieted down, "If we don't do something about it, Eligh... We might as well sign off our lives to The Dark Herald himself." Eligh, and probably many of the people there stiffened at the mention of The Dark Herald. Zhicoal, uneffected by the name, stepped closer to Eligh. "Our skies grow dark, Eligh. The Toru-hi's time has come." This was said in a whisper that only Eligh could hear. Eligh nodded with contained dread. Turning to everyone else, he decided it was time to draw a line in the sand.

"I go to Meinora." Against every ounce of will I have, as it were. He thought. Then, the unevitable question:

"Who is with me?"

Inanco stared. In seconds his world had been turned around. Zhicoal and Eligh were asking him to leave his home, the only place he had ever known, and journey to some place he had never even heard of.
He shook his head. "I-I have to think first." he said, then abruptly left the room. He stalked off towards the cliffs, where he had spoken to Vana earlier that day. He sat down, letting his feet hang over the edge of the rock.

Rayen bit her lip in indecision. She had never left her home before, and the thought of doing so frightened her. But did she really have a choice? What did her fear matter compared to the safety of their people? She knew what she had to do.

She laid a hand softly on Eligh's shoulder. "I'm with you, Eligh," she said in a barely audible voice. She couldn't imagine what it would be like to leave everything that she knew and travel far away. At least she would not be alone.

Selbren, riding Zephranus, noticed a group around a house. He had forgotten who lived there... but why would so many group up there. Then one of the Toru-hi ride off to a cliff.
Should we see whats going on? It may be improtant if it is a meeting of Toru-hi, Zephranus thought.
Yes... but land a little away. We'll walk the rest... though I'm not sure if I know any of them...
Then make some friends!
The eagle let out a cry, then dived down, landing a few yards from Zhicoal's house.Selbren jumped off and walked over, stopping a few feet from were the others stood. Nerviously, he spoke.
"It's unusual to see a greeting so large of Toru-hi. May it be important? May it have something to do with the deaths? I'm sorry for my curiosity. I am Selbren..."

With a singularly unimpressed eye Tlenes glanced from the newly arrived Selbren, to the retreating back of the young man who'd just left, to the other Toru-hi in the room. He had no love, only rage, for the tribe who'd long ago driven out his grandfather for a crime he hadn't even commited.

Evandyr, however, had quite different priorities. We are with you. He projected his thoughts to everyone present before turning with a glare to his rider.

(Sure, Amoniel! :D Everyone is welcome. Just... Pretend you've been here all this time.)

Eligh nodded confidently and gently touched Rayen's hand.

"Thank you." He whispered this, barely audible.

Selbren looked around, seeing, or more like hearing, what was going on, he asked.
"Are you on a mission? What ever it is, I'd be glad to help."

(hm... how to get my other character, Annalett into it... *thinks*)

((Maybe she could come talk to one of us))

Aras glided silently over Inanco, turned, and gently landed on the cliff. He walked a bit awkwardly till he was even with the boy. Are you going? he asked.
Inanco sighed. I don't know he told the eagle. This is my home-I've never been away from it. And my family, too. I cannot just leave them.
They'd be safe here. Nahel would protect them.
Inanco sighed again. He and his younger brother, Nahel, had cared for his mother and sisters ever since his father had died.
Aras had fallen silent, and Inanco's gaze wandered out across the canyon floor. In his mind's eye, he could picture the sandy floor crawling with dark figures, all coming for some evil purpose to the Yanua lands.
Inanco frowned, then set his face and stood. Aras turned and watched him as he walked back to the hut. "I'm coming." he said to Eligh.
