Sirius nodded and followed James and realised the Fat Lady wouldn't let them in without a password. "Remus should have told us.." Sirius mumbled a little grumpy. "On the other side, now we can wait until Evans comes to our aid" he smirked "wouldn't you just like that?"

Her eyes on Sirius, she grinned and winked cheekily.

She laughed, and turned to Lily.

"Don't you know then..?" Sirius asked, his voice full concern. "Peeves stole a dozen of Fanged Geraniums from the Greenhouse and he has barricaded most of the corridors. And of course you know James then" Sirius' eyes shone with laughter but he continued his act seriously. "he was so worried that you, vulnerable ladies, would get hurt, that he insisted on waiting here for you and I just told him to come to your aid.What he would have done gladly if you just didn't come round this corner" He grinned and looked at the girls wondering if they could appreaciate the joke.

"If there actually were Fanged Geraniums, then Cat and I would have been perfectly fine by ourseles. But you were obviously lying. You were both blinking far too much for it to be true and I saw Peeves on my way up here. I suppose the real reason is that you forgot the password...?"
She smiled slightly and nodded encouragingly.

"Of course not.." Sirius replied with a wink "Don't you believe that we, honest boys, were seriously concerned for your safety?" He shook his head, a grave expression marked his face. "Shame on you.. I guess Peeves was up to more mischief then." he added.

Sirius greeted Emmy before being pulled aside by Cat. He felt her hand touch his skin , shivered and he gave her a quick wink.
"I'm glad you're safe Evans and so is James.. " he smiled at his friend before turning back to Cat. "It would be an honour m'Lady." he bowed and offered her his arm "Shall we take a walk round the castle..?"
