Yashamaru took one good look around the Iako village, and ran off, stopping now and then to make sure no one followed. A few times he did catch someone, but they were quickly taken care of.

When he was back at the Koga village, he made his way to the inner courtyard where he usually hung out. Zutao and Kouga could take care of Aiko and Cora themselves...

Cora got up quickly as she heard Kuroda. Unlocking the door she smiled at the man she loved. "Kuroda." She said with love. Not noticing Aiko or Zutao.

Zutao sighed quietly. There could be no doubt rom the way she had said his name that they were in love. And his last hope of a continued freindship with Kuroda faded.
"Ahem" he couhed pointedly at glared at her; a warning not to go any furthur with her loveing ministrations.

Aiko felt a tingle of excitement rushed through her veins as Zutao ran his hand down her neck. As he removed her blindfold, relief fill her as she saw Cora alive and well, yet some of that relief was lessened as she heard her lord's daughter speak to Kuroda with a love-filled voice. They are in love, she realized quickly, knowing everything that Zutao had hinted at was true. I hope this does not cause you unbearable sorrow my friend, she thought but quickly pushed the dark thoughts away. “Cora-sama!” she exclaimed with more joy than she intended to reveal. “Daijoubu? [Are you alright?]” she asked.

Zutao turned away and leant against the wall beside the door, his eyes closed as if in pain. Kuroda and Cora. It thrummed through his head like a mantra that wouldn't leave. Kuroda and Cora. His best freind. No. Not his freind; his enemy.

(I just noticed something. Aiko and Zutao both end with "o" and Kuroda and Cora both end with "a". I'm kinda a big stickler on names and pairing off... but I thought that was kinda amusing)

"Yes, Cora, It's me." Kuroda said with a smile. "You do not know what loss my actions have caused." His smile faded as he sat down on his bed, head in his hands. friends, probably family too, Kuroda, what have you done.

"Shall we start with houner?" asked Zutao sarcastically walking through the door and sprawling himself acrose a chair, careful to close the door first. He stared Kuroda I'm going to kill you. One day. One day i'l kill you his eyes said. he turned his attention to Cora and his expression turned to a sneer. "So your Cora." It was an insult.

Cora had nodded to Aiko but had turned her attention to Kuroda. Her eyes saddedn at seeing him this way. She went and stood infront of him. Wrapping her arms around him she held him. "Kuroda, my Kuroda. Is there anything I can do? I don't like seeing you like this." she said befor Kissing him on the head. It was then she heard Zutao. "Yes I am Cora, does that truely matter at the moment?" She asked.

((That is neat Freya. Also, Cora doesn't realise the extent of what Kuroda's means, all she knows is she loved him and he is upset, and he wanted to save her.))

Aiko stepped forward, glancing at Cora's reaction to Kuroda while cringing inwardly. This can only end in disaster for us all, she thought, a bitter taste filling her mouth. She then glanced at Zutao, her gaze impassive as she spoke. "She is my lord's daughter," she said quietly. "Though I may suffer for it, I will not stand idly by and watch her treated with disrespect."

."You will not suffer whilst i am here." he replied in the same vein, but a chastised look crossed his face. I shouldn't hate the girl for her part in this. She's an Iako and they can't always be held acountable for thier feelings, no; Kuroda is the one in the wrong. Kuroda is the betrayer. All this pased through his eyes in a flash before he stepped foreward and made the foraml bow and spoke in a courteouse voice.

"I am Hayashi Zutao; Koga Shinobi, Cora-san. You can trust that I will not reveal your presance to the rest of the clan or hurt you. However your being Cora-san is of intrest to me because you are the person my 'freind' has betrayed us for." The last words were spat out venemousely in Kuroda's direction.

Kuroda felt Cora's arms go around him No, stop! This can only end in disaster. Then he heard his former friend call him betrayer. "Zutao," he said as he stood up. "I am not any more a betrayer than you are. Think back to what happened IN THE MIDST OF THE BATTLE."

Zutao's ahnd went unconsiousely to his katana. "She was the target remember" he gestured to Cora "And how do you prepose a dead body was going to tell me what we wanted hn? She was only going to tell me if i got her gaurd down." he growled, speaking his prepared story for the event in which Kuroda would use it against him. "I care nothing about her; she was just a source." The tempreture in the room began to drop as ice formed in his hand. " I don't love her. I havn't betrayed us."
And the saddest part was; he belived that last was true.

Aiko turned away from him stung by his words and wanting only to hide the shame she felt for her role in this whole fiasco. Had she not been so distracted, she could have protected their borders as was her duty. Sensei [Teacher] was right, she thought to herself. There is no place for love for a shinobi-only death. How could she have been such a fool to think that she could ever care for a Koga? They were all the same. How could she face Cora again after what happened? It would have been better if I had fallen in battle, she thought to herself. At least I would still have my honor.
