Groaning softly again, it took Calista another few minutes before she could open her eyes to small slits. Seeing the worry and tears on her love's face as his image came into to view, Calista felt her heart constrict in sorrow. "Love....w-what's wrong?" she whispered.
"Calista, you've been unconscious for some time now and nothing has been able to rouse you. During that time you've stopped breathing at least three times and died twice. I-I was so afraid that I would lose you for good," Gareth whispered, his voice breaking at his words.

Darius sighed softly. "I don't know," he answered finally. "But I will not have you wandering this world alone," he said finally. Sighing again, Darius remained silent for a few minutes. "If you think a separation is for the best, maybe we can ask if there is a spare room around here. That way at least I know someone will be able to help you if need be."

Seeing the tears in her beloved's eyes made Calista feel all the more horrible. "I'm sorry," she whispered as she started to cry softly. "I-I didn't mean to..." she whispered.
