The Hogwarts Express was as crowded as ever that morning, with students saying last minute goodbyes to their parents on the platform, before forcing their way onto the crowded train. Once they had boarded, then came the chore of finding an available compartment.

Extricating themselves from the milling crowd of students, a red-haired girl and a dark-haired boy slipped into one of the larger compartments up towards the front of the train, and the boy shut the compartment door behind them.

"Whew, what a crowd.." the girl said as she took a seat by the window, pushing the glasses she wore farther up on the bridge of her nose.

"What do you expect, Allison?" the boy asked dryly, putting their luggage away on the racks above the seats, before taking a seat near the compartment door, and he then propped his feet up on the seat across from him.

Allison, the girl by the window, frowned at him. "Oh, I don't know, Aidan..I expected there to be less students this year." she said sarcastically.

Aidan opened his mouth and started to say something, but froze, hearing someone at the compartment door.
