Personality: Claude is a thinker whose thoughts turn to action far to quickly for her own good. She is normally quite cheerful, but can have her moments when she's as dampening to the spirits as a rainy day. Her concerns don't really lie with curing the disease for their leader, but more for herself. If she dies, who will take care of Noah?

Kira walked past the burger sign with her eyes on the ground, her hair in her face, and her mind wandering off into deep thought. Something was occuring, they had already figured out what it was: a sickness, a plague, a death. It didn't want what you labeled it. It was the end no matter what, and now it appears it is going to take an unmarked turn on one of them sooner than later.

Aliana sat quietly in a corner of the mall sharpening her dagger on a piece of wood. She looked up and a small smile traced her lips as Kira walked past her. No doubt the girl would be lost in her thoughts. Aliana thought with a shake of her head. She was a clever one and useful in their struggle. There was no doubt in her mind that Kira would be great-if only she could live past thirty…if only they all could live past thirty. The smile faded from her lips as her thoughts grew grim and she went back to sharpening her dagger. They knew what it was, a plagued poised to kill them off one by one. Yet, knowing what it was and stopping it were two different things, and unless a cure was found, it would only be a matter of time before they all fell prey to it.

Claude was currently chasing Noah through the mall, vainly trying to catch him. The boy was quick on his feet!

"No, C.J.! Catch me!" Noah hollered.

Claude smirked, seeing Aliana sharpening her dagger.

"Aliana!" called Claude, trying to get her attention.

She hoped she was looking and motioned for her to reach out and grap Noah, or trip him or something.

Bret, walking down the hallway of the mall, saw Noah running towards him, with Claude chasing after him. "Hey, buddy, where you going?" Bret caught Noah and swung him around. He walked over to Claude, still holding the boy.

Jackson sat in the doorway of a shop, watching as Kira went past. She had that look on her face that meant she was somewhere far away, lost in her thoughts. "Hey," Jackson said loudly to her, "solved any world problems yet?"

Kira looked up and smilied at Jackson. "Not yet," she smirked, "but I am surely getting closer, I hope."

" well i got some food...i had to trade some stuff for it though.." she grimiced and looked at kira. she walked over and sat by her too. " um...you know those green star earings you love so much? well....i sorta kinda had to trade them....along with a few other things i found laying around....please don't be mad.." she felt bad that she had to do that...but she was also happy she got the food.

Jack walked on in the empty mall, his hand drifting towards his handgun that he had stolen. It was dangerous here. The mobs were ruthless, often looting what ever they could see and killing whomever they could find. He heard harsh gasping sounds. He ran towards the source of the sound, his handgun out. He found a man, blistered in the horrible sores that only came from one source. The aging sickness as his late medicine professor called it before he too came under the disease. The medical community was baffled by it, until of course, they were wiped out by it. For all Jack knew, he was the only man with any background with medicine. And he had three years left.
Quickly, Jack found a cart that had some commercial purpose before all of this. Now it had a new one. He lifted the corpse up and put in the cart. He wanted to transport it to the hospital nearby for examination. If he could identify the disease and develop a cure for it, he could save the world. But he had little time.
