Ability to fade into whatever background she's standing against, and limited shapeshifting within human form - adjusted height, slightly altered features, etc. Can sense the emotions of others to a slightly heightened degree. (Hope this is okay, SG? I know I have a couple in there, but they're not extremely powerful. I'll change them if you want )
Appearance: Quietly and unobtrusively lovely, with brown eyes and hair. Rare smile. Slightly taller than average, and thin if not skinny. Fair-skinned.
Personality: Altruistic, cares more about others than herself, and has low self-confidence. Terrified of any sort of conflict, partly due to her somewhat empathetic powers, and hates attention of any kind.

To stick to the school-friendly aspect of this RPG, I'm going to wait until the weekend to start this off, giving you time to bring up any questions, or to let anyone else join as an OC if they like. The villians? They (obviously not trusting the Alpha X's judgment on what needs to be done) would be trying to capture/contain them, and possibly even trying to sell them on a black market of sorts. They don't want to kill them, though. (A superhuman on your side of a war is quite helpful. )

Ceari cautiously peered through the hole in the thick steel wall. So it was true. They did live in a virtual world. And now it was all falling to ruin, right in front of her face. Sparks flew from dying wires, holes dotted the walls, and there was very little light.

Over the hum of the small emergency genorators, the wailing sirens, and flashing warning lights, almost nothing could be heard.

She and the other children here had been suspecting something of this sort for quite a while now. They may be isolated, but they weren't stupid. Only about two days ago had Ceari really begun to contemplate possible escape, and then it seemed like a far away dream. Present, but unreachable.

And yet here that dream was, staring her in the face.

Losing no more time, her figure vanished, as if being peeled away from a page, top to bottom. Using her stretching limbs to move out of the way of incoming staff memebers, she soon found the 'home' of the one of the other children. She didn't know who it was, but she knew that someone was there.

"Come on!" She said, forgetting that she was not visible.

Marianna floated above the floor so that if touched with a live wire it would not ground itself through her. This place is falling apart she miserably thought.
Avoiding another shower of sparks, she started, a voice had come from nowhere urging her to "come on" Reaching out with her mind, she brushed against another conciousness.

"Ceari?" she called "is that you?"

School ate my life. *sigh*

Lucius slowly, aimlessly picked his way through the wreckage. The screeching sirens and flashing lights were giving him a headache, even though he tried to block out the noise. A staff member hurried past. "What's going on?" Lucius asked, but the man just shook his head and hurried on.

<i>The others must be around somewhere.</i> Lucius thought. He started towards their personal quarters. Maybe he could find them there.

((Again, sorry for the confusion... You're right, Elenya. Just imagine a kind of... Cellblock, if you will, that was 'indestructable', and, after some major electrical shutdown/malfunction/meltdown the place is in total chaos. A few explosions have gone off, there are sirens and flashing lights... And our charries now make their escape. Help any?))

Aelie turned, dazzled, from another never-ending set of blinding lights, and stumbled in a direction chosen completely at random. She couldn't tell where she was or what was happening, and the disjointed faces rushing by were none she recognized. The nineteen-year-old was unconsciously shrinking, very gradually inch by inch, in response to alarm and confusion. Her shapeshifting abilities extended far enough to lessen her height by nearly a foot and a half, and they came into play most often when she was scared or confused, though she could also control them consciously. She couldn't understand why nobody stopped to ask who she was or if they could help her - and that wasn't due to her unconsciously turning invisible.

Another wailing siren made her stagger, hands over her ears, and the light flashed painfully. Before her vision had recovered she could see - hazily - a figure she thought she recognized. "Lucius!"

He didn't hear her at first, and small wonder, so Aelie picked her way through the wreckage to catch in relief at his sleeve. "What's going on, what's happening!?" Another painful stab of light and sound made her wince. "Nobody's stopping!"

Lucius turned a to see Aelie standing behind him. "I don't know." He said. "Nothing's working in here." He hardly raised his voice while he talked, an unconcious habit. "Wait- I might..."

He trailed off as he focused, creating a dark veil around the two of them. They could still see fine, but the lights were dimmed to more tolerable levels. He might have been able to make an illusion to help soften the noise, but that took more concentration than he had at the moment.

"Have you seen any of the others?" He asked Aelie.
