[[Oh, I'm really sorry for not getting this up and running until now guys! Every time I want to go start something, something else gets in the way. :frust: Of course you can have GW, Joker! And here we go! ]]

Snow. That was all Henrietta Olsen could see by looking out the windows of a Gallagher High schoolbus. Miles of snow blanketing the peaceful fields and small houses of Valley Forge, Pennsylvania. With a slight smirk, she thought about how out of place a giant yellow bus must've looked against snow-covered pine trees. But the fact that soon, all of the students would be trekking through the ankle-high snow to go see some legendary battlefield, was what Henrietta thought was extremely pointless. Of course, they had learned about it endlessly in school, from kindergarten, until now, the senior year of high school. The great Winter of 1777. Big whoop. All Henrietta wanted to do was head back home where she could sit down next to the fireplace and watch some classic holiday movies that all of the TV stations were playing.

As the bus was parked and students began filing out, Henrietta was one of the last to get off of the bus. Bending down, she took a handful of snow in her gloved hand and threw it at the back of her friend's head, acting like she hadn't ever lifted a finger.

[[Anyone can jump in here and I'll go add the first page with the bios I missed in my absence. :bye: ]]

Jacob Mills made his way to the back of the bus, he really had tried getting out of this little field trip, but his Aunt had insisted that he attend with all of his classmates so that he could learn some history about the town that he lived in. Like he really cared, this wasn't his town. His town was back in Tampa Bay, Florida where the sun shined and snow was undesirable. But no, he had to get in trouble for vandalizing and his parents had had enough of his trouble making schemes, so he was sent here. To Pennsylvania... hick town U.S.A. [[Not Truly, but in his mind it is ^^]] So instead of wallowing, he decided he would just get through the day as best as he could, soon enough he would be back home and in his room where he could work on his next little project.

Staring out the window of the yellow bus they were riding in, he stuck his hands into his tanned leather jacket with buckles and clips here and there, trying to keep his hands warm.

Of course coming from Tampa he wasn't the greatest when it came to cold weather, so his outfit wasn't exactly the most appropriate for deep snow... well any snow for that matter. His jeans were dark and tucked into a pair of black boots. Beneath his jacket he had a dark gray sweatshirt, almost turtle neck style. Dark hair hidden beneath a gray and blue knit hat.

The bus stopped and he was also one of the last to get off the bus because Jacob had been sitting in the back seat. Great... here we go... a trek down memory lane to 1777. Too lost in his thoughts that he did not see the incoming snowball thrown at him, hitting him square in the head. Eyes widened and he turned to chew out whoever would be dumb enough to do such a thing, but when he saw Henrietta he smirked. She was one of his few friends at GHS. "You have just opened up a world of pain, miss!"

(Great! :-D Though sadly I leave tommorow for two weeks.. so that's why I hoped this could start earlier.. now I'm still going to miss everything :( )

Lynn snuggled in her warm sweater when the bus stopped. A coat had been a good idea but she'd left home in a rush after her fostermother (she refused to call her mother) had again yelled at her for leaving her junk in the livingroom. This was going to be a hell of a Christmas she thought while stepping out of the bus. She had more and more fights lately with her fosterparents, usually about nothing. They had already threatened to call the Social Service Programm again which meant new foster parents. Moving again.

Lynn breathed in the cold air and decided to set aside these thoughts. It was not in her nature to muse long over problems. When she saw Jacob being hit by a snowball she heartily started to laugh. "Lighten up Jacob!" she said looking at the darkj haired boy with her big hazel eyes. "You look awful."

(phew, finally! Here I am finally posting! :bye2: ;))

Chase, as he preferred to be called over Clinton, sat close to the back of the bus, as alone as he could possibly get on this bone chilling day. He hadn't felt like getting out of the house even today let alone this, but he couldn't skip school. He never had and had vowed never to. Especially after losing his dad. His father had been so proud of him and had expected such great things out of him, well, even if he was now gone, Chase would still carry his memory and fulfill his dad's expectations. Chase turned from the humming of voices inside the bus to look out the window at the passing scenery, but unlike some of his classmates on the bus he had come more prepared. He had been stationed with his family in several different parts of America so he was used to any kind of weather... mostly.

He followed as the rest of the students filed out into the snow. Chase couldn't help but shudder slightly as the cold snow whooshed down and hit him in the face. So this is where they were going to spend much of the morning? Out here? You could hardly distinguish what anything was in this snow, let alone find any true or interesting evidence of the long winter spent there several hundred years ago. He sighed. He had seen better field trips in his life.

Henrietta, or Rie, as her friends so fondly nicknamed her, ducked behind one of the pine trees as snowballs were launched in her direction by angry classmates. "Hey, eat snow, Jake!" She laughed, chucking another ball of snow at him. Backing up, she ran into the history teacher, Mr. Collins, who had been watching the whole snowball fight unfirl.

"Miss Olsen, I would appreciate it if you would stop horsing around and -- " A flying snowball landed in his face and Mr. Collins wiped the snow off with a glare in his eyes. He looked ahead of him and found that Rie was no where to be found, except for her footprints leading away from the site.

Jacob, or Jake as many people called him, well not really many, just the few close friends that he kept from moving to the school. Sure he hated Gallagher High School, but that didn't mean that he would be a loner and ostracize himself from everyone else. No, he made some good friends and kept them close, and they were the ones that really knew Jake.

"Awful, not my fault I don't own any winter clothes!" He pouted and ruffled Lynn's hair, another one of his good friends before he heard Rie shouting from the distance.

"Rie, you better no-" Before he could finish, a snowball hit him square in the face and he growled. "That's it!" He leaned down and not caring about how cold his fingers were going to be, made a snowball, packing the flakes together before chasing after Rie into the woods...

Rie let a laugh escape her lips, one that rang out through the trees and disturbed the peaceful quiet of nature. She new Jake was behind her - it was only a matter of time before he caught up and took revenge. Rie could care less about the punishments that Mr. Collins would deal out - right now it was all about fun and games! Who cared what baldy thought? She was determined to make this trip fun and exciting, no matter what it took.

"Just try and catch me, Jakey!" She giggled, rolling another snowball in her gloved hands.
