"Is the cough still bad?" Darius asked as he re-entered the room and sat at her side, worry gleaming in his eyes.

Rummaging through the drawers which he indicated, Calista searched until she found the proper herb for the tea. Smiling slightly when she found the herb, she quickly shut the shelf and made her way back to the room, not even thinking of prying further.

Gareth returned from drawing water from the well and made his way to Calista's room.

Rosalina blushed, but nodded. "Don't worry to much." She said cringing in pain. "Its not as bad as it was."

"Are you sure?" Darius asked, still not convinced as worry gleamed in his eyes.

A few moments later Gareth and Calista both entered the room. As Calista moved to the table to crush the herb, she gave her friend a sad smile though she refrained from asking any questions with Darius in the room. Meanwhile, Gareth started a fire and started to boil the water.

Darius shook his head. "I don't want leave you, Ro," he said softly.
"Darius, you should rest," Calista interjected. "Gareth and I can watch her to make sure she is well," she added.
"She's right," Gareth said finally. "It will be worse if something happens to you and then there will be two people that we will need to tend to," he remarked before turning back to Calista. "And speaking of rest, you could probably use some yourself," he added. "I don't want to risk losing you again," he whispered in her ear as he placed his hand on her shoulder and gave it a gentle squeeze.

Darius sighed softly, unable to resist his love's plea. "All right," he responded softly. "As long as you will be all right," he added, concern still shining in his eyes.

Having Calista sit as she still continued to crush the herbs, Gareth just kept his hand on her shoulder, carefully monitoring her to make sure that she did not overtax her strength, the memory of how she had slipped into a coma twice still fresh in his mind.

"All right," Darius whispered before rising to his feet and slowly leaving the room, cursing himself for the weakness he still felt.

Once Calista finished crushing the herbs and gathered them in a bowl, Gareth took the bowl and walked back over to the boiling water where he added the herbs to make a medicinal tea.

Calista paled at Rosalina's words as she turned to face her friend, worry in her eyes. "Rosalina you need to rest," she said softly. "While I go out to look for another herb in addition to the tea that will be more potent," she suggested.
"Absolutely not," Gareth remarked as he finished mixing the tea before scooping some of the broth out using a ladle. "Calista you are still weak. You could put her very life at risk if you go herb-searching now. If anyone is going out, it will be me," he said finally as he walked over to Rosalina and handed her the tea.

Calista sighed softly, simply wishing that she could aid her friend instead of feeling just so uselessly.

Smiling at Rosalina as she nodded her thanks, Gareth made his way back to Calista and kneeling in front of her, gently took her hands in his before kissing the backs of them. "Stay here with her," he told her softly. "I am going to go out to look for a few more herbs..." he added before rising and pressing a kiss to her forehead. "And remember don't overtax yourself," he added in a gentle but stern warning.
