"Come on my angel...wake up," Gareth pleaded again as he continued to pat her cheeks and cradle her close. After a few minutes, a soft moan escaped from Calista's lips and her eyelids began to twitch as she started to come to. "That's it, love," Gareth murmured as he pressed a gentle kiss to her forehead.
Groaning again, Calista's lashes finally fluttered open and the blurred images of Gareth and Rosalina slowly came into view. "Gareth...Rosalina...?" she murmured, confused to find herself cradled in the mage's arms, thinking that he left to find herbs for Rosalina.

"Rosalina, please...don't speak," Calista whispered, concern in her eyes. "You'll hurt your throat," she added. Breathing a small sigh of relief that Calista seemed to be back to her overly-worried selfless self, Gareth just pulled her closer, almost afraid to leave her side again in case something happened and she didn't wake up the next time. "What happened?" Calista mumured against her beloved as he drew her near.
"You fainted, love. No doubt from pushing yourself too hard when your body needs rest. Rosalina's cries brought me to you."

"Oh..." Calista remarked softly, shame and embarassment in her face as she lowered her gaze, unable to look either Rosalina or Gareth in the eyes.
"You need to rest, beloved..." Gareth whispered gently to her as he still held her close, almost fearful of letting her go. "What if we cannot awaken you the next time?"

"All right," Calista murmured, not wanting to cause any more trouble. "But if I rest I am staying here, I won't leave Rosalina unattended and we still need herbs to help her."
Sighing softly Gareth merely nodded as he carried Calista over to the bed and laid her on it.
"Please, promise me you will rest if I search for the herbs," Gareth begged her softly as he leaned over her, tears misting his eyes at the thought of losing her.
Calista merely nodded as she slowly raised her fingers to caress her mage's cheek. "I love you," she whispered.
"I love you too. You are my angel. Don't forget that," he whispered and pressed a gentle kiss to her brow before straightening and turning to Rosalina. "Will you be all right?" Gareth asked her.
