Nakaida ran her hands over the mare's mane, smiling to herself, and sprang neatly up. Nudging gently with her knees, she urged her forward, beside Orindil. "Where are we making for?"

Khienro looked around a bit before mounting Sparksburn, who had only a small, thin leather saddle, and then kicked him into a canter after Orindil.

Naidele mounted the tall black and started him off. She rode up beside Khienro. "I'm sorry you got pulled into this," she said, feeling a little guilty, "I'm sorry that we cannot tell you more of what is going on..." Then she added, "Yet."

Khienro reached out a gentle hand on her shoulder to stop any further appoligies,

"Don't be. You may have lead me into this... Adventure... But that dosn't mean its bad." He chuckled slightly, "Truth be told, I'm glad I came. I havn't been free of that chaotic town sense... well, ever. Its a nice, long-needed breath of fresh air. And I can protect myself." He patted the arms at his side. "And as for your secrecy... I don't mind. I know how people are with their privacy. You should be no different." He turned back to the road for a split second, to make sure he hadn't slackened the reins too much, and then cast Naidele a sidelong glance, "I suppose you are searching for a lost love or something that all of those fine ladies do in the old tales?" He asked, half seiously, half jesting. With a glint of curiosity in his eyes, and a rather childlike grin on his face, he waited for her answer.

Naidele blushed then giggled a little nervously. "A love? Me? No," she said, "I've never had any loves." A young woman like her didn't have much time for lovers, but she couldn't say that. A little sadly, she wondered what it would be like to have a love.

Khienro laughed at her apparent embarassment,

"Well, I can't say I'm at all surprised, as is evident by your sister's shot with a dagger. She is obviously trying to remove one of my ears." He finished his sentence in mock annoyance as he glared at Nakaida.

"So... What do you plan to do once you escape the Okandar?"

Naidele grinned at Nakaida, and then cocked her head as she thought about Khienro's question. "I don't know," she said after thinking about it for awhile, "I don't really have any place to go." She turned a little gloomy as she thought of the task at hand. "If we defeat Okandar," she added. Their task did seem horribly hopeless. Especially since they were separated. If they were going to have any chance at defeating Okandar, all five Keepers needed to be united. They couldn't do that if something happened to her or her sisters.

((Well, if they are, it does reunite them and they can defeat Okandar from within, as it were. Unless he's smarter than that. Plus, it gives any potential, er, male admirers the opportunity to come and make a heroic rescue, right? ))

"Blast, did I miss your ear?" queried Nakaida in mock disappointment. "I shall have to give it another go sometime." She glanced at Naidele. "We'll defeat Okandar, Nai...we have to."

"You will defeat Okandar. With your supirior throwing arm," He said slowly, glaring at Nakaida, "And your rather harmless appearence... You will definatly fool that old... Jerk."

"I'm not entirely sure whether to take that as a compliment," mused Nakaida. "One does hope that one looks fierce, you know." Her eyes danced in amusement, but quickly sobered again. "I don't think defeating him will be the problem. It'll be finding our sisters - and if worst comes to worst they may be prisoners by the time we get to them."
