Naidele grinned at Khienro. "Yes, appearances can be very decieving," she said slyly, "We are not as sweet as we look." She smiled coyly. Then she turned to her sister and sighed, the flirtatious amusement leaving her. "Yes, that will prove difficult," she said drawing her brows together in thought, "If they are captured before we are reunited.... Well, I don't know what we will do. This hasn't been working out the way we thought...."

Khienro looked at Naidele, a glazed look in his eyes, but then he tried to shake it off as a blush krept up his neck and around his cheeks, then thankfully dissapeared at the returning seriousness to their conversation, and stared down at his saddle, a furrow knit onto his brow.

"Well... I suppose all we can do is hope for the best, and deal with it as it is dealt to us."

Naidele gave Khienro a grateful smile, unaware of the effect that her innocent flirting had had on him. "You're right," she told him, "We must handle whatever comes."

Khienro smiled for a split second, then his craned his neck, attempting to view Orindil.

"Orindil! Where in all of the land are you taking us?" He asked, duckling low under a rotten branch, then brushing aside another thin branch, which proceded to snap.

[I was thinking they attempt the rescue first to become familiar with each other and all get captured further down the road]

A peaceful trickle of water graced their ears, and Orindil led them into a moonlit clearing. A diminutive waterfall dropped from a bluff ten feet above them, creating a clear stream that cut through the clearing.

"Feel free to rest," Orindil invited them, gesturing expansively at their surroundings. He added ominously, "And later there is a need to... talk."

Aeryn was puzzled at the means of talk but he was thankful for the rest and he sat down and stretched his legs gladly.

Naidele dismounted, also grateful for the rest. She rubbed the small of her back with a grimace. If you're already sore, she lectured herself mentallly, How do you expect to get all the way to Okandar? She had never had to ride very much when she was back home. There had never been a need. She sighed and walked over to the stream. She was glad to be around something of such beauty in a time when everything seemed so dark.

Aeryn sighed and shut his eyes, thinking. He had gotten himself into something, once again, without thinking. He did that all to often..he acted before he thought. But I'm glad I did it. He thought and agreed with his thoughts.

Nakaida gave the whole clearing a good look before slowly dismounting. She was rather nonplussed by their surroundings - anxiety rather ruined it for her. The horse seemed to know exactly what it wanted, so she wandered over to a large rock situated conveniently on the edge of the stream and took off her boots, putting her feet in the water and wondering warily what Orindil had meant by 'talk'.

Orindil had wandered surreptitiously off to one side of the clearing and was scanning a tangle of vines climbing up the stony edge of the waterfall. He first glanced back at the others before snatching off a small pink-centered flower with white-tinged petals.

He found Nakaida sitting by the edge of the stream with her feet dangled in the clear water. "My lady," he murmured with a slight smile as he handed her the flower. "It suits the color of your hair."

Khienro glaced around before streaching out his arms with a grunt and dismounting. He let Sparksburn graze, and he walked over to the streem and looked at his reflection.

"My goodness... I suppose I get dirtier on the job that I thought.." He said to himself as he wiped away at the ash smudges on his cheeks and brow. He then turned to Naidele, who was quite focused on the small stream. Puzzled Khienro walked over with his arms folded across his chest,

"What is it that intreages you so?" He asked, attempting to follow her gaze.

Naidele turned her face up to Khienro. "It's just so lovely and peaceful," she replied serenely, "It reminds me of home." Her thoughts turned to the Isle of the Goddess and she recalled all the beauty she saw while she lived there. She leaned over and ran her fingers threw the cool clear water with a smile.

"I see.... And where is your home? Out of curiosity."

Naidele bit her lip, wondering how much was safe to say. "I come from... far away," she told him finally, "An island.... You wouldn't know of it. I can't say more right now. But it is a beautiful place. I miss it greatly." She sighed. "And I fear I shall not see it again."

Aeryn did not bother anyone else as he just let the peace of not being chased or his life on the line sink it...it had been a very long time he could just lay there...ungaurded. But, a small sinking feeling filled the back of his head, for he felt that he had gotton himself into something more....much more. He opened his eyes and asked, to no one in particular, "So, what is this talking business?"
