Once they arrived at Daniel's home and Gareth used the wind to set them down gently, he quickly picked Darius up and rushed him into Calista's room so he could start to tend to the man's wounds.

Calista had been trying to read the entire time Gareth had been away but the longer she had to wait the more anxious the woman became. Finally unable to focus any longer, the woman took to pacing her own room, which was how Gareth found her.
"My love!" Calista exclaimed with both happiness and relief as she saw Gareth. "Are you all right?" she asked, concern in her eyes as the mage nodded, wanting to ease her fears. Catching sight of Darius' limp form all color drained from Calista's face as Gareth just laid him on her bed. "Dearest, w-what happened?" Calista stuttered out.
"He was injured by a pack of wolves. No doubt his body was still to weak for a fight," Gareth told her matter-of-factly. "I need to help him quickly, my love. For he has already lost much blood."

Not wasting a moment, Calista began to rummage through her drawers for herbs while Gareth gathered water for the paste. Hastily searching through her drawers with trembling fingers, Calista pulled out several different roots and leaves to create a topical salve for Darius' wounds. Looking up as she gathered the materials and moved to sit at the table in her room, Calista grew all the more pale as Rosalina entered. "You're wounded too!" she exclaimed, her voice tight with worry.

"Rosalina, please, just sit and relax!" Calista cried, her voice rising in her fear. Sitting at the table, she started to crush the root just as Gareth came in with the water.
"How's it coming?" Gareth asked her quietly and Calista just shook her head trying not cry, feeling that she would not be able to prepare the paste fast enough. "Love, calm down," Gareth told her softly as he gave her waist a gentle squeeze before taking up another root in and and started to crush it.

Roslina bit her lip and sat to help Calista, darius was all that mattered.

"Ro, take it easy. You are injured yourself," Calista remarked as she continued to crush the root.

Gareth quickly finished crushing the herb he was working on and went to grab a bowl to mix the ingredients in. Coming back into the room, he placed the crushed herb into the bowl before going to check on Darius.

Calista sighed sadly as Gareth kept watch over Darius to make sure the man was still alive.

Not saying anything more, Calista continued to crush the herbal root. Once she was finished, she added it to the bowl before pouring in some water to mix everything together.

Calista than grabbed some herbal leaves and after added them to the mixture, she mixed it again before adding a little more water. "How is he?" she called out to Gareth.
"Still holding on," came the mage's reply.

Finally mixing everything together, Calista walked over to her bed as Gareth went to look for bandages. Sighing softly, Calista managed to turn Darius with some difficulty and started to apply the herbal paste to the deep gashes on his back and to the bites on his neck.
