Elizabeth looked at Miranda, before giving a small smile.
Around half an hour later, she watched Ben and Gabriel gallop off into the woods and sighed slightly.

Miranda sighed and walked briskly back into the house. She walked into her room (being the lady of the house now, she had to have a room, unlike her guest quarters before) and sat down, staring at her books. She rested her chin on her knees and stared out the window at the sunset.

Elizabeth sighed before she sat down on the stairs. She leaned on the post and looked toward the sky. A smile came upon her lips as she thought of the night before, and she sighed softly. She looked up when she heard Bordon's voice. "Lady Holmes." She turned her head and saw the Captian of the Dragoons. "Bordon? What are you doing here?"
"I saw two groups on my way here...Cornwallis says that the patriots are coming to get Tavington." "It's too late." she said, her head downcast."

Miranda heard voices and rose from her room. She saw Bordon, and red-hot anger flared up in the back of her mind. Her uncle. She swept into the room and asked, "Sir, may I ask what you are doing here?"
