Eavan felt Araman try to lift her up, but her body wasn't working, even with his touch. (Although, she did feel a little stronger after he tried to help her. But only a little.) Then, she let him put her on his bare back and she held on tight as he went from an strong man to an amazing steed. She didn't know he was a Shifter - it was amazing. She held on tightly to his mane as they went towards the camp, her strength slowly, slowly returning.

Food sounded very good right now.

Vondell turned and led the group away, towards the clearing that he had found. The yards that lay between the group and the camp site were quickly eaten up, and soon they were in the small clearing. There was just enough room for them. The bard set down Amaran's cloths next to him, and looked around. There were plenty of sticks to make a fire, but that wasn't Von's expertise, so he decided to leave that task to a more experienced friend.

Instead, he put his energy into collecting wood for the fire, and putting it in two piles in the middle of the clearing. One was where the actual fire would be, the other was a pile for fuel that wouldn't be used right away.

Looking through his small pack, all he could find was waybread, dried fruit, and jerky. The kind of food that lasted longer so was fit for those who travelled alot. Though Von usually traveled from town to town, and if he was forced to camp out, he usually needed Nelnya's help to start a fire.

The little firelizard now took a perch on a low branch in a spot where she could watch the group without getting in the way of camp preperations...

Strider walked along quietly, aware of eyes on him. He didn't care. Why did everyone assume that he was up to something? That he wanted to hurt someone? He didn't. He wanted to help. "I can make a fire." He said quietly when they reached the stop. He wasn't sure is they would let him, but he could make a sweet fire.

The sky colored red and then purple to eventually grow dark. Not even the moon appeared to grant them some light. But all of this remained unknown to Tristan for all he saw was darkness and just felt the sun loosing her warmth and by that figured sunset was near.
He'd followed the rest of the group in silence, only the soft tapping of his cane on the grass or stones betrayed his presence. The place which Von had chosen was just a few feet from the forest edge yet it seemed like they stepped into another world. The air didn’t smell like grass and wasn’t warm like in the fields but it was cool and smelled of fungi. The earth felt moist and the sound of running water told Tristan they were close to the creek. Usually Tristan would have enjoyed this place, enjoying his ability to still understand nature. A place where he could be alone without feeling lonely, a place where he didn’t have to see and wouldn’t be seen. But not now.
After some rummaging in his small bundle he found his leather water sack and got up to find his way over to the creek but after a few steps he changed his mind. He had to speak to Eavan first, he decided. As the others were making camp Tristan shuffled over to her, her soft breath hardly distinguishable because of the noise made by others.
His hand searched for her arm but when he touched her stomach for a moment he immediately withdrew with a slight blush on his cheeks. When he found her arm he softly whispered: “What did you see Eavan? Was it your brother? Fight it. You must.”
He realised that he would give himself away by these things. But he knew. He had seen what happened to some of them, Wolfens. Some of them went mad with fear or paranoia They were the easy preys.. Some were more sensitive for it than others but in the end they were all found anyway. All but one.

Amaran follwed Vrondell at a smooth walk. Eavan bouned gently on his back, but she felt balanced. As Vrondell led them deeper into the forest, Amaran had to be careful about keeping his footing. Horses were not the most grace ful creaturs in heavily wooded areas, and a fall from his back could potentially cost Eavan her life. Finally the trees opened to a wide clearing. Trees penned in the open land, shading it and keeping it cool and damp. Amaran breathed deeply. Moist earth was a wonderful smell. Then, carefully, he knelt down and let Eavan fall off his back onto a soft pile of moss. As soon as he was sure Eavan was saftly on the ground he began to shift back to his human shape, pulling on his clothes as he did so. Standing up he watched as Strider made a fire. Amaran could tell the man was adept in the wilderness. To his right Vrondell was searching through his packs. The blind man, Tristan, was drinking from his water skin. "Home sweet home." Amaran murmured to himself.

(sorry I have been gone for so long.)

Eavan blinked, her mind slowly going in and out of conscienceness. She rubbed her hand and sat up, listening to Tristan's concerning voice. She looked around for Araman, remembering what he did for her. What they all did for her....

She turned to Tristan and put her hand on his shoulder. "After I eat...please. And I am fighting it, Tristan. I am. If I wasn't, then I would have been long lost right now. I will tell everyone about...what's happening...after I eat." Her hand still ached and the images were still vivid in her head...The tears began forming on the rims of her eyes, and she blinked twice to clear them before standing and stretching. She felt tight...weak...vulenerable.

She hated it.

[Yay! Lets get this thing on the road again! :-D ]

Tristan was touched by her voice; although she seemed to have went through a transformation some moments ago yet she still hoped and her courage remained. But she was no leader, for she was too fragile.. too vulnerable..?
He supported Eavan while she got up and looked at her with his blank grey eyes but seeing nothing. "Don't cry" he said softly "nothing has yet happened to shed tears for." His hand trailed up her cheek to wipe away a single tear but then retreated, somewhat embarrassed. He stood still for a moment but then walked off with red cheeks, following the sound of water, towards the river.

"Eavan!" Amaran called as he saw the woman rise to her feet. She was standing by her own power but he could see that she still was weak. "Are you alright?" He watched as the blind man, tristan, walked off towards the stream.

(Tur wanted me to tell yall that she has been hugely busy ((what with school and all now)) and that she'd be back soon. :) she says not to fret!)
(Ditto for me! I might not get on as much as I want. :()

Strider followed along, afraid to speak. He wanted to be liked by this group, which was weird, because he'd always wanted to be an outsider. But there was something about these people...he felt like he belonged, even if they didn't like him.

Strider desperatly wanted to go make sure Eavan was alright, but he thought it best not to say anything. Everything he said was misinteruppted and he knew that others would ask the same (almost) questions as him. He could only pray for her. Please let her be okay. She needs to be okay. For her reasons.

Dax sat a ways off from Strider, and heard Amaran call to Eavan and saw her standing. She shook her head and sighed, then stood and walked over to the girl, who looked close to crying. "You really should rest Eavan, you do look so good."

Strider looked around at all the faces of the group. They looked worried and fearful. He stood up, acting on a whim, and walked over by Dax and sat down. "She's right, Eavan." He said quietly, though he was sure someone would bite his head off for it.

Von kept himself by the fire, poking at the wood in it with a stick. In the mean time, he chewed on a crumb of way bread to keep his hunger down for the moment. Right now it seemed everyone was trying to get Eavan to rest and eat. In his state of thoughtfullness, the bard noticed how Dax seemed to sit away from Strider, and now realized how the others seemed to glare at him now and then.

Von had had no opinion of the man. In fact, he had hardly even spoken to him. And on the outside he didn't look that bad. So why did everyone treat him differently? Maybe he'd find out later.

"Well, maybe we all should stop pestering her to rest and eat, and start cooking or setting out blankets. Actions speek louder than words. And to me, the lady Eavan seems to be at a point where she would rather have food before answering questions. Though I may be wrong," Von pipped up over the others, keeping his seat by the fire, and threw another log on it, sending a flurry of sparks into the air to disappear in the darkening sky...

Dax glanced at Von. "Well, you don't seem to being doing much of that either, so forgive us for caring if the girl is feeling fine or not," she said in a flat voice, rolling her eyes up to the darkened sky. "If you have anything that needs cooking, go ahead," she added in a nicer tone, then returned her attention to Eavan.

Strider noticed how Dax ignored him. Oh well. He sighed. He got up and went over to the fire, aware of eyes following him. He quietly messed with the fire, waving his hands through it, feeling no pain.

Von shrugged. "Well, you could at least give the girl some air, no need to crowd her," he said, his rich voice full with obviouse worry for Eavan. But he knew he could do nothing as a bard. Instead he pulled a bundle from his back, and unwrapped some pieces of meat that he stuck on a stick and started roasting over the flames.

Humming, his eyes, once watching the fire, wandered to Strider sitting not far from him.
"I don't think you and I have ever really talked. No offence, but the impression I get about you from the others isn't really good. But persionally, I prefer to find out myself what people are like," he said in a companionable voice...
