Foreman nodded and left the room and went to the room. "Cecile...? I will take some of your spinal fluid now so we can see if you have an infecion." Cecile nodded and Foreman looked at Virgina while he was preparing Cecile for the lubal punction. "Virgina...make sure she doesn't move now, okay? Cecile...are you ready?" Cecile closed her eyes and took Virginas' hands. She could only nod.

Virgina watched as Foreman started the test, She placed her free hand on Cecile's shoulder to steady her knowing the girl was getting scared as she was pained by the needle.

Foreman prepared the needle and nodded at Virgina. Then he turned to Cecile. "Try to relax now. I will start now." He said as he slowly inserted the needle in her back.

Cecile pressed her eyes shut and bit her lip, whimpering as she felt the needle in her back. She tightened the grip on Virgina. She didn't want to scream, but the pain grew more as Foreman got deeper. "I don't want this!" she cried desperately. "Stop it! Stop it! Please..." she broke down crying. "Please stop it...stop it..."

((I never had that done, but I did have a needle go into my knee atthe way to the cartalage of my joint/knee. Worst thing to feel.))

(ah...that sounds terrible. I was told to get a lumbar puncture a few times because of headaches, but I never did one. I was too scared of this)

Foreman looked at Cecile, then at the monitor she was connected to. He could see her heart rate speeding up again. He knew he had to hurry, but he also had to work slow and carefully. He looked at the girl and he knew Cecile wouldn't hold on long anymore. "Alright...you have almost made it. I will draw the fluid now. It will be over in a few seconds."

Cecile started breathing harder again. "Please...please...make it stop..." she tried to breathe calm, but she couldn't. She could feel pain rushing down all the way down her back and a strong tightening feeling in her chest. "Help...help me...I can't do this...I can't do this...I want it to be over..."

Virgina swallowed. "Its almost over, just squeeze my hand." She told the girl. She watched as Foreman slwoly took the needle out. "There done."

Foreman looked at Virgina as he pulled the needle out. "I'll put this to a test" he said. "We'll find out what it is." He looked at her stats which were still high and unregular. "Virgina...I want you to stay here and watch her. She is not stable yet."

Cecile was still curled up on the side on the bed, holding Virginas' hand. Her eyes were closed and she still whimpered in pain, crying in the sheets.

Cecile hid her head in Virginas' shirt. Her breathing was still laboured and unregular. "Virgina..." she whimpered. "Will...will...I be okay again? Will they find out what I have? Please...help me...help me..." she made a small pause to catch air and closed her eyes. "It hurts so much...I...I can't breathe..."

Foreman went back and laid the syringe with the fluid aside. He stepped beside the bed and shook the girl. "Cecile? Hey...can you hear me?" Cecile blankely stared up to him and tried breathing. She didn't answer. Foreman looked at Virgina. "We'll need to connect her to the oxigen tank again. This could be caused by a shock because of the pain, but we should make sure."

Cecile still breathed quick and irregular, but more steady now. Foreman looked at her, then at Virgina. "Seems she is getting steady again. Well, I'll take this to the test now. We'll find out what is wrong with her. Stay with her and talk to her a little, okay?" He nodded at Virgina and left the room down to the laboratory.

Ivan went into the hospital and went through the corridor. He hadn't been there since Lilly had become sick...since...House hadn't been able to save her...since House...had killed her. Suddenly, he looked into one of the sickrooms. He went closer and looked through the glass. A young woman in scrubs was sitting beside a girl with a mask over her face. He just stood there and looked at the scene. Sure, this girl was much older than his daughter had been, but it was almost the same scene, before House told him he had found out what she had, before she had died. He closed his eyes again and cried a little. He knew the woman in scrubs would notice him, but he didn't care. He couldn't go away from this scene anymore.
