Peter smiled back, then closed his eyes after a minute.

Ev stared at him for a second, then called herself crazy in her mind, but put down her apple, moved so that she sat behind him, then lay back so that her face was next to his. "Mind if I join you?" she asked jokingly.


[Sooo stupid but whatever. I'm eating oreos and in a sugar high, spontaneous mood. ]

Peter opened his eyes and looked a little surprised, then shrugged slightly after a minute. "Sure.."

(Hehe..maybe I should go get some oreos, so I'm just as random..)

Ev smiled, then looked up at the sky. 'I<i>am</i> a lunatic,' she told herself. She sighed and put her arms on her stomach for lack of a better place to put them.

Peter shook his head a little and closed his eyes again.

(He's gonna end up falling asleep..)

Ev sighed and kept staring at the sky, lost in her own thoughts. To her, it was less comfortable to close her lids than to stare at the clear blue. She mulled over all of her thoughts, everything that had been in the back of her mind for the longest time. When she finally came back down to earth, she glanced at Peter, who was - not surprisingly - asleep. She laughed quietly to herself and sat up, leaving him in peace. She walked a few feet off and stared at the scenery. She sometimes glanced at the horses, who were grazing. For some reason, she had an urge to let her hair down - probably because she wanted to feel the wind in it again. She took it out of the braid and let it fall, then felt it lift with the breeze. She took a deep breath, then pulled it to the side. She looked behind her. Still asleep. She smiled and shook her head, then started to walk off a bit more, though still staying within sight.

After a while longer, Peter woke up and opened his eyes slowly, then he sat up quickly and berated himself for letting himself fall asleep like that. Noting that the sun was getting close to setting, he swore mentally and stood up.

Ev sat a little ways off, enjoying feeling her hair down. She heard a bit of noise from behind her, and turned around.

Peter was gathering up the rest of the food and packing it away, and as soon as that was finished, he picked up the blanket and rolled it up, then put it in the saddlebag.

Ev noticed him bustling about, then walked back. She stood there and asked, "Wake up already?"

Peter nodded slightly. "Yeah..I didn't mean to fall asleep like that.."

Ev smiled. "You couldn't help it - you were tired."

"Even though I didn't realize it.." Peter said, looking slightly chagrined.

"Don't feel bad," she said, laughing and helping him pick up. She still felt her hair blowing about in her face. Feeling it down for once felt great - though, it would surprise anyone who saw her back at the Palace...

"This is the first time in a long while that I've seen you with your hair down.." Peter commented, finally noticing her hair as they finished picking everything up.

Ev smiled. "Yeah, I know..." she said. "I just felt like letting it down...does it look that terrible?" she asked.
