Elizabeth was not forthcoming from the stern, but in a move illustrating her crafty intelligence the two officers suddenly found themselves at gunpoint - from the capable young woman who had just heaved herself aboard near the prow. Having secured a second pistol, she nodded imperiously to them. "Evening, gentlemen. Afraid we've got to borrow your boat."

"I believe she's right, gentlemen. Now, won't you excuse us?" Will said as he raised an axe and sword near their necks. Forcing them toward the ledge of the ship, he said, "Now, would you kindly abandon ship?"

Black Beard patted Kidd on the back..............for the first time in his pirate life. "Now, you sea rat, GET BACK TO CLEANING THE DECK!" he shouted at the top of his lungs.
James' continued to smile at Kidd's funny face........in his opinion.

Kidd leaped up as Blackbeard screamed in his ears. He stood up immediately and saluted the Captain, "Aye aye Cap'n!" he shouted before seeing to his duties.

James' happy face stared blankly at Black Beard before him.
As Kidd saw to his duties, Black Beard took the opportunity to test his skills at entertaining the child. But of course before doing so, he peeked over his shoulder to make sure Kidd wasn't watching.
Leaning into James' face, he smiled enormously and said, "Peek-a-boo! Hello! Hello! Peek-a-boo!" He did this at least three times with his hands hiding his eyes.
James' face was motionless at first and then the bottom lip turned into a frown. He then began to cry softly, until he made a well.........flatulence sound...........and then as if he remembered the mess he had made in his pants..........he began to scream and cry, once more.

Elizabeth, after a moment's indecision, cut the anchor rope. T'would take too long to reel it in. "Don't make a sound," she warned one of the two, who seemed about to shout, and kept her gun trained on him until he was safely in the rowboat. "Let's be off, Will!"

Will pushed both officers into the safety boat and then roughly grabbed Elizabeth's pistol and shot holes in it. "Thank you kindly gentlemen!" he shouted as he examined their situation in the blue water below.
Quickly setting sail, Will ran to the mast in order to direct the ship, "Where are we off to Elizabeth? Tortuga?"

"Mmm," said Elizabeth doubtfully. "All we'll find there is a pair of messages for Jack in a form I'm sure you'd rather not be submitted to. Or I, for that matter. What ship is that, over there?"
This abrupt change of subject was introduced when Elizabeth's keen eyes, roving the horizon, picked up a ship. No colors were run up currently.

Will was about to argue Elizabeth's statement about Tortuga, but his attention was also brought upon the strange ship that leared so close to Port Royal with no colors flying. "What do you suppose.......?" Will said silently to himself.
Leaving the mast, he walked next to Elizabeth side and said, "We will investigate this." His eyes were determined, as if fatherly instinct had kicked in.

Kidd caught a glance at another ship on the horizon. "Cap'n!" he shouted, "Ship! A ship!"
He threw a finger out and started pointing at the vessle madly.

Glady, Black Beard left the screaming child and stomped toward Kidd. His dark smokey eyes looked in the direction Kidd was pointing toward as he raised his spyglass.
He could see a young man and woman looking toward his ship as well. With a smile slowly sliding across his grungy face, he said, "Looks like we'll be havin' company soon, Mr. Kidd. It's his parents."

Poor James continued to cry with tears sliding down his face. His small hands floated gently at his side, as his eyes searched around sadly for his mother or anything familiar.
