Knyn nodded briefly at the Mage's apology, but didn't have time to say more because the first wave of undead struck.

Mortality came up in an arc, lopping through the first zombie's head. Ice shot down the greatsword's blade, shattering the zombie's skull. It fell, only to have three more zombies replace it.

At least his racial mixing didn't stop people from trying to kill him he thought as he slashed the chest of another zombie with both swords. This invigorated the half-vampire, for it has been long since his two swords cut through flesh.[/font]

Echoed the sound of the dark cleric troughout the room as the heart layed on the altar, the two eyes of Cyrus watched from the door way with a mad gaze as his way to freedom was being wasted.

The Mage Strode forwards, his arms outstreched. The Zombies did not attack him.
"Hold them off!" he shouted, and made towards the Dark Guardian at the Back of the Hall.

Raelin rolled his eyes at the mage's apology.
He ran his blades into two zombies and slashed their heads off. Another attacked him, he rammed the zombie against the wall and sinked his forked teeth into the zombie's neck,and sucked hard. He had promised himself he would only take one sip, but he found himself drinking, and drinking... he couldn't stop himself. Usually Raelin didn't like killing people like this, but he did it anyway. The zombie was finally dead. The vampire ran one of his blades into the zombie's stomach just to make sure..

Knyn whipped around, eyes settling on the altar in the center of the chamber. His greatsword took out another zombie. He waded through the gap -

The zombies closed in around him, blocking his passage. What Knyn did next was nothing short of spectacular. The swordsman launched into a brilliant offensive, whirling, parrying, stabbing in all directions and forging himself a path to the altar.

The mage walked to the Figure, who had not moved.
Zombies were rabbits compared to this figure, the mage thought now.

"Why dost thou come?" the figure asked in a rattling whisper. The foul stench of death was everywhere, but most of all, from him.

"I come for the Heart of Cyrus" the mage said in answer, his voice rattling almost as much as the Figure. "It would be best if you gave it to me without trouble." he said, knowing full wel what the answer would be, and the answer came in the guise of a shrill laughter.
"HAHAHAHAHA! I am Calitharius! You threaten me?!" he screamed, for when he had laughed, he threw his head back, and when it came to meet the Mage's gaze once more, the hood had fallen back, and where a face should have been, was a charred skull, flesh hanging from it.
The mage almost vomited just from the sight, but he kept his stomach, and most importantley, his wits under control.

Adrenaline pumped him on, rendering him oblivious to his stinging wounds. Knyn stood before the altar, before the pulsating heart that lay upon it. Without thinking, he grabbed it.

The Figure had not been expecting this.
"FOOL" it screamed, and streched its hands towards knyn.
the Elf beat the dark Cleric to it, and shot fire into his back, which put it off a little!

"KILL IT QUICKLY, TOGETHER, LEST WE WILL ALL BE DESTROYED!!!" Meneldor screamed.

Raekin took a step forward and laughed.
"I thought you could do it all by yourself o mighty mage! Surely you would not need petty help such as a vampire's!"

The Mage would have laughed himself at this comment, where they not in this situation, for it was true. But they were in grave danger, and his answer was thus, "IN OUR GRAVEST HOUR YOU JEST, VAMPYRE! THIS IS NOT THE TIME!" he screamed. he looked at the others, then turned to face the enemy, alone if need be.

Knyn stuffed the heart into his pocket and parried five more consecutive attacks. He spun around in time to hear the mage's cry. Understanding the need, he shouted at the others, "Go! Help him!" before slicing himself a path to the enemy.

With a twist, he plunged his greatsword into the dark cleric's back. The enemy shuddered and spasmed as waves of icy cold coarsed through it.

The mage, as the warrior attacked the cleric, chose to cast his spell.
He shot a bright flamy light into its face, and it screamed in agony.
