Fiona turned round as she heared steps coming down from the boys staircase, thinking it was Moony she stood up tp greet him, only to come face to face with James' and Sirius.
She sighed it was only them, she smiled and walked over.
"Hi guys have you seen Moony?" she asked, she noticed that Sirius was slightly frozen, his gaze fixed on her, she wasn't sure about James but instead she kicked Sirius in the shins.
"Get a life Sirius, it's still the same old me" she carried on, Sirius rubbed the spot she had kicked.
"Yeh and you stll throw a good kick so it has to be you, and you know what, we havn't seen Moons since charms this morning, tell you what, shall we escort you down to the ball, you can meet Remus there" Sirius replied, Fiona bit her lip and thought for a moment.
"Uhhh, we agreed to meet here, James what do you think?" she asked turning to him.

Dani sighed and tucked her hair behind her ear. She looked up as the doors opened, then looked at Lily.

Lily felt her heart racing as she stood up, without saying a word.
"I'll wait for James here, you can go in if you like..."

Dani sighed and nodded. She walked into the hall, looking around as people stared at her. She proceeded to an empty table, where she sat. Alone. She waited for the others....what the hell was she even <i>doing</i> here?!

Remus sat on his curtained bed in the dormitories, adjusting his robes for the fifth time. He tucked his hair behind an ear, then thought better of it and swept it in front of his eyes as he had seen Prongs do. The result made him look like a shaggy dog. He had pretended to be asleep when James and Sirius walked in, and now he heard his friends' voices downstairs. Sighing, he climbed out of bed and stood at the top of the stairway.

"Have you seen Moony?" Fiona's voice floated up. His stomach lurched. Squaring his shoulders as best as he could and hoping his hair looked reasonable, he descended the stairs.

Fiona turned round hearing foot steps decend again, her stomach flipping and somersaulting as Moony emerged.
She smiled as best as she could, she had no reason to be nervous, this was Remus Lupin.
She adjusted her wrap and turned round to face him.
"Hey Moony, i've been waiting!" she said slipping her arm through his, she turned to James and Sirius.
"Thankyou for waiting with me guys, i guess i'll see you down at the ball" she replied smiling as her and Moony left the room.

Sirius shrugged his shoulders as Fiona and Lupin left, he turned to James.
"Ready Prongs?" he asked

James finally stepped out from the shadows so everyone could see him. By now he was visible only to Sirius, Remus and Fiona.
"Yes I am ready." he said and punched Sirius on the shoulder lightly "I have heard that when you've asked first time too." he said grining. He left them all behind and approached to Lilly. His eyes were fixed on her. She was gorgeous. His jaw dropped a little but he forced himself to snap back to reality. As he approached to her he slightly bowed and pulled his nad from behind his back. There he was holding one exceptionally beautiful red rose.
"You managed to shadow a rose. I'm so happy that you're going to the ball with me." he said placing a small kiss on her hand.

Dani eventually zoned out as more and more people filed in, listening to music in her head and fiddling with the tablecloth. She secretly wondered if any of the guys - James or Remus, that is - would recognize her immediately.

Lily blushed.
"James, thanks."
She said, quickly placing a kiss on his cheek.
'Shall we dance?"

Dani looked up at Lily and James as they walked in, smiled, and waved at them.

Sirius swept pass James and Lily, as James was handing her a rose, he rolled his eyes and looked round hoping to see some unfortunate girl on her own.
His gaze rested on a girl in a blue dress, she looked beautiful, Sirius took a step closer to her, and realised that it was Danni, he stared at her, somthing in his mind wanted to go over and kiss her and never let her go, but another part wanted to go over and shake her and ask her what the hell was his problem.
He was snapped out of his thoughts when he felt someone kick his shins, he turned round and saw Fiona walk away still linked with Remus, he sighed and turned back to Dani, she was no obscurred by crowds of people.
He ran his fingers through his hair quickly and took a step forward, pushing his way through the crowds, he walked up behind her, he put a hand on her shoulder, the dim lights shadowing his face.
"Dani" he said over the music.....

Dani jumped as someone's hand touched her shoulder. She looked up and saw Sirius, then heard his voice say her name. "Sirius?" she asked, squinting slightly to see his face.

James held his head high as they walked into the great hall. It was perfect. And he could still feel Lilly's lips brushing against his cheek. A girl suddenly waved to them and he stopped really confused for a second. She did look familiar... But as Sirius approached to her realized. Dani, of course! He turned back to Lilly.
"I wanted to ask you the same. Come." he said leading her to the dance floor.

Sirius' heart skipped a beat as Danni stood up and faced him, without thinking he placed his hands on her shoulders, he stared into her eyes, he took a deep breath.
"Danni listen i've been a right pig these past few days, but it's made me realise somthing, somthing really important" he paused to choose his words, he felt her shift slightly, but he held his grip firm.
"Listen we've been friends for ages right, but well i've been feeling feelings towards you that are more than friends if you understand me?" he stopped, he was sounding stupid, he looked at her hoping she understood him.
"Sirius i...." he cut her off, he had leaned in and without thinking his lips touched hers.

Dani's heart rate went up dramatically when he placed his hands on her shoulders and spoke. Her heart pounding in her chest, she began, "Sirius, I-" but before she knew it, their lips had met. She couldn't believe it - she had hoped for that so much...she looked into his eyes when they parted and smiled, not wanting to open her mouth for fear of spoiling the moment. She hoped that her eyes would convey what she felt at that moment.
