Logan backed away from the counter and stayed where he was, "Well, not from the way I'm smelling your scent right now...emotions are a bit up there kid?" He raised his eyebrows just waiting for Pete to deny it.

Storm closed the door behind her andlooked to Warren who seemed to be avoiding looking at her.
"Warren", she began, not sure quite how to broach the subject. "I think we need to talk" Ororo finally said after a brief pause to collect her thoughts.
"Things have gotten chaotic in my absence, but I'm back and I need to help build bridges. We're a family here Warren and we need to stick together"

Warren's eyes shifted to look outside the window, "So what are you trying to say?" He placed his hands in his grey sweatpants pockets and continued to ignore eye contact with Storm.

Logan nodded his head and shrugged. "Okay...if that's the way you want to be left alone.."
He walked over to the fridge door and opened it. After sniffing around for a moment or two he cursed and slammed the door shut. "I forgot...no beer."

He threw the letter on the counter and said

"What I mean is Warren" Storm began to speak, moving a little closer towards him "That we need to stop fighting among ourselves. All of us need to pull together. The way Professor Xavier taught us."
She sighed and looked saddened as she thought of her friend and mentor.
"If we're not a tight unit, we'll never get anywhere and Professor Xaviers dreams of peace between humans and mutants is paramount. Please, just think about what I've said. I'm not trying to lecture you, you're a grown man. I just want you to appreciate the position we're all in"

Logan's eyes examined the letter but he didn't pick it up, "Nah kid. Look, you didn't it want to be my business, so it's not going to be."
He opened the fridge door again and decided to settle on a lame bottle of Dr. Pepper.

Slowly, Warren turned his soft blue eyes to Storm. Her gentle kind words had calmed him. And after being stubborn for so long, he said, "I'm sorry. I understand what you're trying to tell me." His long white wings were now completely hidden behind his back into their collasped position. "But how is one to react to irritating people?"

"You walk away, don't let yourself be provoked. I know it's difficult, believe me I know." Storm replied, then she smiled at him "I know Logan can be difficult and insensitive sometimes. But underneath it all he has a good heart." she began to smirk now "Don't tell him I said that though, I think he enjoys being the outsider."

"Yeah, anyone can see that!" Warren said with raised eyebrows. Turning to face Storm, he said, "Don't worry, I won't tell him you said anything." He smiled softly and then gave her a gentle hug, "Thank you."

Storm returned the hug, then pulled away and smiled. "I'm glad you understand Warren. I know this place can be a bit much sometimes, but we get past the rough times."
She paused and smiled again, "Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go see Amber. From what I hear it's been a rough couple of days for her. I owe it to her to check on her, see how she's really doing"
