OOC: Happy New Years!
Everyone is settled in and all supplies and crew are on board.
***
IC: Sandecker received his second and final report from the task force sent to investigate the Hagilan system. No Magog, combined with the fact that there were no gravimetric anomalies from Magog PSPs (Point Singularity Projectors), meant that there was only one explanation for all the events that had happened. The Nietzschean's really were rebelling; the Andromeda's crew really was telling the truth.
The Admiral prepared a missive to the bureaucrats of the Commonwealth, detailing all the information he gathered and his recommended course of action as a result of this information. But before he was even half way through, he received a message, telling Sandecker to order a Glorious Heritage class heavy cruiser to take out all the Nietzschean shipyards in the Tri-Galaxies. It also detailed information on the Nietzschean's first wave. The Nietzschean's had a fleet less than half the size of the High Guard and no where near as advanced, but the High Guard had not fought a real war in over three centuries while the Nietzschean's daily life was a fight for survival. So that fact, coupled with surprise, was allowing the Nietzschean's to advance and wipe out the High Guard fleets they encountered. On top of that, the Nietzschean's were capturing every High Guard ship they could, and now the primary order going to every High Guard ship was to overload the AP tanks and destroy the ship.
Sandecker reviewed the list of available Glorious Heritage ships, finally settling on the Crimson Sunrise, captained by David Gray. He drafted a message to Captain Gray, detailing the mission parameters and all the other relevant information that Admiral Sandecker could think of. When completed, Sandecker reviewed, revised, and finally sent the missive.
OOC: Sunny will receive the message and notify David.

IC: Emperor (self-imposed title) Charlemagne Anasazi analyzed his battle charts, strategizing in his mind; going through strike and counterstrike for every option and making contingencies for each of those possibilities.
“Emperor, we’ve intercepted a coded missive from the High Guard Command to the…” the Nietzschean communications officer looked back to his screen. “The Crimson Sunrise, a Glorious Heritage class heavy cruiser is tasked with finding and destroying our shipyards.”
“Very well. Dispatch Admiral Thaniel and the Scorpio to deal with them.”
“Aye aye,” the communications officer returned to his station and sent the message ordering Thaniel and his task force to the Virgil system in the Attican Beta cluster to attack and destroy the Crimson Sunrise and capture or destroy (preferably capture) the dry-docks she was stationed at. The message also told Thaniel to attempt to capture all other High Guard ships in the Virgil system, but destroy them if capture was impossible.

The Scorpio was just finished assembling its new and superior crew when another order from the Emperor, ordering me into the Virgil system in the Attican Beta cluster to attack and destroy the Crimson Sunrise. Thaniel wasn't too pleased with that. The Crimson Sunrise, as he had remembered, was Glorious Heritage class, outclassing the Scorpio. But he thought of a clever idea that he will put into play later. But it didn't look like that really expected them. Thaniel ordered, "All ships prepare to move to the Virgil system. The task force will be divided into two squads. One squad will directly engage and destroy the Crimson Sunrise, one of our primary objectives. The other squad will attempt to capture the dry docks. If capture is impossible, destroy them." The commanders of the ships confirmed their order and prepare to move.

OOC: Caunion, DSA II's are the same relative class as a Glorious Heritage ship-of-the-line (DSA's are actually slightly above). The DSA II's are more powerful in a straaight up slugging match, but they must rely heavily on sensor drones and their task forces for sensors and point defense as they don't have enough PDL (Point Defense Lasers) to effectivly cover the area. The Glorious Heritage ships don't have the straight up power of DSA IIs, but they need not rely on sensor drones or a task force (as they are made to operate without one) and the PDL's can more effectivly cover that class of ship.
Also DSA II's are better at range as they only have 4 AP (Anti-Proton) cannons in their entire length, hence the name deep-stand-off. Glorious Hetirage are good at any range, but in a fight against a DSA II, closing to AP cannon range will be preferable to trading missles with a DSA II.
