(I am thinking this is an imagined time.)
Elizabeth fitted her hat more properly onto her head, and slowly turned around. She was dressed from head to toe in such gear that one would think of her as coming from some sailor's cavern.
Uck, she shringed her nose as some man with the breath of rum, and obviously drunk, invaded her personal space by sticking his face about an inch or two away from hers and muttering, "Lady..constantly."
In efforts to get away, Elizabeth slowly backed up and squirmed around the man, to soon see him fall to the ground in a drunken laughter.
"Well, that was close," she muttered to herself, looking to and fro at the fighting, clawing, and such that seemed to prosper here in Tortuga, "Now off to find Will."

Will had been sitting around with Jack and the others for a long while just drinking and chatting. There was a lot of story telling going on and everything was just so laid back and fun. Will hadn't been subject to things like that for a very long time.
He sighed happily and drank the last of his rum. He hadn't had much to drink, so he wasn't in any means drunk like Jack was. He took a deep breath and looked around the cavern, as the rest of the men continued to talk with Jack. He was looking for Elizabeth - he hadn't seen her all night.

James staggered back to his seat and took a large swig of his drink. The inn was filled with laughter and cheering as if a party was going on. Luckily for Norrington, nobody noticed the former Commodore, captain and pride of the Royal Navy. But nobody would have recognised him anyway: his clothes were dirty and haggard, his dark hair was long, filthy and the pride in his brown eyes were replaced by a certain sadness. An unbelievable transformation but now James was still unnoticed, incognito in his dark corner of the Bloody Mary Inn.

(Ok, thanks, Smeag... I'll go with that!  I'm also waiting, but I'd like to bring Barby in... please... it's ok, right?)
Captain Barbossa, the powerful, sly and rightful captian of the well-known pirate ship the Black Pearl, sat at a lone table in the Inn. He was a little ways off from where Jack, Turner and the rest of the crew sat talking and laughing. He preferred sitting like this. Alone to his own thoughts without Jack's foolishness to deal with. He sighed and glared over at Jack and the rest before turning his eyes back to the ale-filled cup in front of him.

"If you had half of an ounce of decency, you would think twice before grabbing hold of a lady would your scrubby paws!" Elizabeth yelled at one of the men right before pushing him away.
The man fell solely because of the unexpected blow Elizabeth hit at him, and he landed hitting his head against the side of a building right next to the Bloody Mary Inn.
The crowd around the two grew deathly silent, and Elizabeth could only ponder on whether it would be better to try to sneak away or continue the fight in a frozen stance.

"You've done it now, Elizabeth." chuckled Capt. Nighthawk. "You might as well continue." Mary Ann had followed the young lady out of the Inn, partially because she was bored and partially because she was curious. "Or..." she said, "You could let me finish it. I haven't had a good fight in a long time." The Captain smiled grimly as she recalled that the last "good fight" she had been in had resulted in being seperated from her brother and best friend.

"I know ye arn't. I was saying that 'you've done it' because he's gonna wake up at any moment and be hopping mad. Plus his friends will egg him on. They be a persistant lot out here in Tortuga. Will looked back to the men he was sitting with and smiled a little to them, before getting up from his seat and sighing a bit. He looked around and walked over to the bar, sitting down on one of the chairs. He ran his fingers through his hair and then looked around again, for Elizabeth.

[[OH MY.. I'm so sorry guys! I've had an awful week and I had to stay away from AU for some time, as told by my mom. Sorry!  ]]
Edward smiled at both Sam and Alex and was about to reply before he heard the commotion between Elizabeth and a drunken gentleman. He craned his neck to try and get a better view over the crowd that was now huddled around them, but he could only catch Elizabeth marching back inside.
Glancing sideways, he caught a figure creeping slowly in the shadows, and then another. Something suspicious was going on, that was for sure. Silently, Edward reached for his pistol and prepared a shot.

"Somethin' wrong Captain?" Vari said, appearing in front of Barbossa. She eyed him carefully for a few minutes, but it was hard to tell how he was feeling exactly from the lack of emotion shown. Vari had sailed with Hector for a long time, but yet she still couldn't quite figure him out. Perhaps she never would. "Ye've been awful... quiet since earlier." She pulled out one of the wooden chairs and sat down without being asked.

Keyara strayed back a bit as Beckett gave the signal. Even though she tried to have the utmost faith in him, sometimes she questioned his motives. There were a lot more pirates than there were of Beckett's men, but half of Tortuga's residents were drunken idiots anyway...

(don't worry over it... at least the week is over and you're back again!  wheee! I can't wait to let the Pirates RPs start again! )
Cole turned his attention to look where Edward was. He noticed Ed silently reaching for his pistol and strained his own eyes to try to spot out what Edward was seeing. He leaned in toward his friend and whispered, "what is it, Ed?"

Barbossa looked up in slight surprise as Vari appeared in front of him. He took her in for a brief moment before he looked back down and acted as if he didn't hear or care. It was silent for a few more minutes before he glared back over at her, "and what be ye thinking I should act like? Jack?" the last part came out in a slight scoff, and his glare was directed over to where the other captain sat drinking and laughing.

Beckett moved slightly forward, although he had no intentions of being directly with the men once the struggle started. He would wait in the back for Mercer and the rest to over-take the place. Then he would make his grand entrance. He smiled to himself, how nicely this was going. Suddenly, he realized Keyara wasn't following and quickly made his way back to her, "what are you doing?" He looked quickly around at the drunken pirates and other persons, and then back at the Inn his men were now surrounding.

Alex glanced back into the tavern and ordered a drink. She scanned the room until she spotted her brother. She accepted a mug of ale before drawing up a chair at the same table. "What's going on?" she asked, noting the raised voices.

((Wouldn't it be fun if all the POTC charies split up when they are transferred to our world? That they all end up in different parts of the city and that we try to get them back together? Like Vari and Keykey end up together somewhere, eh Norrie and Jack (oeh that could be an interesting combination), Sam and Beckett? ))
Sam glanced at Edward's fiddling with his gun and immeadiately turned to scan the streets. The sky was clouded so she ccouldn't count on some moonlight to lighten the dark alleys and all she saw was darkness. "Somethin' isn't right" Sam shivered. "I can sense it" Her fingers searched for the cool comforting feeling of the metal of her handgun in her pocket. And eventhough the rum had somewhat clouded her mind she felt very sober now. "We should leave.."
