Sun Fire helped herself to the lunch items set out and began eating.

Altadon pulled his head back into the cave and stuck his nose through the door. "I don't like being left out..." He closed his eyes again and listened to the conversations going on in the room.

Cloudya took a big bite of sandwitch jusr as Meriana asked asked her question. She covered her mauth and started to laugh, then chewed, swalloed and said, "Sorry about that... I have no memory of my life befor Altadon."

" really. i wish i had no memory of before i came to live with the centars. " she said as she took another bite. she soon finished and kept asking Cloudya questions. she was begining to really like this girl. she hadn't seen another human for a long time. this was enjoyable.
hours later they all moved to a sitting area. they were laughing and talking with each other. then Meriana relized something. " oh no......." she ran outside of the cave. it was pitch black outside..she smacked her forehead and ran back in. " sunfire, Gold Dusk...it's pitch black outside.....no one knows where we are." she said paniced....

Both Sun Fire and Gold Dusk looked up from their conversations as Meriana came back into the room. "Oh no we are gonna get in so much trouble..."Sun Fire said her eyes going wide. Dusk Singer looked over at his sister. "I'll take someof the blame... I was enjoying myself. Come on lets go." He stood to his feet.

Cloudya stood as well and said, "I'll take youhome if you like." She stepped into the cave where Altadon was and told him what was happning. He stood and stretched, then stepped outside. "Just let me saddle Altadon." She called back into the room where the two centars still stood. She looked at Meriana, "Ever ridden Dragon back?" She asked smileing.

Meriana looked at Cloudya like she was crazy. " no...sure havent." she smiled and laughed..." are you going to teach me?" she asked knowing exsactly how they were going to get home.

Sun Fire and Gold Dusk joined Cloudya and Meriana on the ledge and watched as Altadon got saddled.

Cloudya valuted into the saddle with the grace and ease of long practice. She then reached down for Meriana. "There are some straps... should be fairly easy to see how they work. Strap yourself dwon... no point in taking unnecisary risks."

Meriana took Cloudya's hand and pulled up. she figured out quickly how the straps worked. " ok i'm ready." she said.
she sighed. " boy are we going to get in a lot of trouble." she said as she saw small flickers of light down in the valley..she knew they were torches of people looking for them.

Gold Dusk looked up and asked, "Where are we gonna ride?"

Altadon turned and picked up the two centar's in his front claws. "Right here..." He answered as he dove from the cliff. He opened his wings with a snap and soon settled into a steady glide over the now dark forest.

Meriana laughed becuase she knew that Gold Dusk would probably freak out. she felt a big drop of rain on her sholder. she sighed. " it's starting to rain." she said to cloudya.

True to her word they soon landed in a small clearing near the tourch lights. Rain was beginning to fall steadily now.

"Of Course!" Cloudya laughted. "I'd love to ... come up any time you like." She smiled and Altadon turned and started to run through the trees away from the oncomming tourch light. He finally opened his wings and let the strong wind that had picked up carry him into the sky.

Sun Fire and Gold Dusk were soaked from the rain. "Come on lets get home befor we get into any more trouble then we are propapbly already in..."Gold Dusk said as he swung Meriana up onto his back and put an arm round Sun Fire's waist.

" it's nice to see another human...but boy i bet were in a whole lotta trouble" she said sighing. her hair was soked and driping wet she could see people coming twards them. they stood in the middle of their village. " here comes the yelling.." she wispered into Gold Dusk's ear. " but thanks for coming along." she said as she huged him.

Zepher was about to call out their names again when he saw the three of them standing in the clearning, "Where have you three been all day you had us woried sick... how dare you go off and not tell anyone how long you were gonna be gone. Gold Dusk and Sun Fire ... Go home. Meriana you come with me." He turned and started back into the woods.
