"Do whatever you want" Matt told him cooly and he looked at Larain. "Can't you call your brother to come back to us?" Then he turned back to John "so what's the profit?"

"What do you want?" Mary spoke softly at Matt's shoulder. She stepped foreward so she was faceing him; her hand brushing his accidently as she moved past him. She stood directly before him; head head tilted back to look up at him.

"What I want?" Matt started laughing. "I probably couldn't count on two hands what I wanted."
He stared at Mary as if watching whether she was satisfied with his reply. His hand dug into his pocket again to pick out a cigarette which he quickly lightened.

"No.. I want to know some answers." he said inhaling. "And Jacen or Donovan are the ones to give them but both seem have disappeared."

Don nodded.
"Maybe... and then you get in the room, lean against the wall, and you've got a ceiling of spikes coming down on you," he said with a grin. So Don started to look around for something that could be a trigger until his phone rang, and he answered with a 'hello?'

Larain stepped inside the tunnel, hardly interested in the conversation now. She pulled out her cell phone and called her brother.
'Hello?' Don asked in her ear.
"Hey, where are you? Like, how far from the secret passage entrance are you?" she asked.
'Um... down a long hallway, down a tall ladder, then down another hallway. It's pretty much one way. And now we're at a dead end at a door. Why? Where are you?'
"At the secred bookcase door thing, that's where. So, it's a straight shot... no chance of getting lost?"
'Nope'
"Alright, thanks," Larain ended the conversation by hanging up the phone, and turned to the others to wait for them to stop talking so they could start down the creepy looking corridor...

"My what a lovely thought," Kathryn teased Don as he got off the phone and as she leaned against the wall. "And I'm sure the next thing will be that we unlock a maniacal beast that will tear us to bits?" she asked with a wry grin. "So what do you want to do now?" she asked. "Think we should start looking to see if we can unlock this door, or do you want to wait for your sister?"

"Nope," Kathryn replied with a shrug. "Probably should watch it one of these days. It certainly looks exciting enough." she added. "What are you implying that this is going to be like the Temple of Doom?" she asked him, as she stepped forward and brushed her fingers along the surrounding walls to see if anything felt out of place.

Kathryn chuckled lightly as she began to press on several stones. "Wouldn't it be neat if we did have an adventure though like the movies?" she asked and paused a few moments before remembering all the traps that she had seen in the movies that the heroes always had to escape from. "On second thought, scratch that idea," she added preferring not to have spikes fall on her head, or have debris come crashing down on her. "There has to be something here to unlock this place," she finally muttered after a few moments of silence passed between them.

Don smiled at her words. After a few moments of thought, he broke the silence.
"Why not? It'd be fun, and, well, a bonding experience," he said with a chuckle. But down inside he was more thinking that maybe a crazy, life-threatening adventure would get him closer to Kathryn. He wanted to learn more about the cute blonde...

"Now bonding...bonding is good, but I would prefer to leave the spikes out of my outfit-or head for that matter thank you very much" she said with a smirk. Yet deep down, she could not deny that a little adventure would break the mundane routine of their school. Moreover, she would have no complaints if that adventure would be with Don-the charming and good-looking star athlete. She was enjoying his company immensely and silently hoped that she could learn more about him. Suddenly her hand brushed against a stone that caused a slight rumble at the door. "What on earth-" she uttered as she quickly drew back her hand.

John looked at everyone calculatingly, as if he could figure their strengths and weaknesses by simply gazing at them. He then shook his head and followed Larain through the corridor that they had obviously opened. He then realised how unprepared they were. John had brought his usual bag that carried his two sketch pads, a case of drawing pencils and erasers, a couple of books for light reading, and a water bottle that John knew wasn't going to be enough should they get lost in this corridor. As well as that book. Undoubtedly it wasn't the same book they were looking for so eagerly but John couldn't get the feeling out that this book was going to be useful somewhere, somehow.

Mary stepped back quickly as Matt blew smoke in her face and wrinkled her nose in distaste. "Tecnically you shouldn't smoke in here; we don't want the teachers comeing to see why another fire alarm has gone off."
She closed the panel behind them so that only the slightlest line of light showed through. "we should really have brought a torch." She quickly caught up with John; her years of wandering through the other pitch black passages meaning she could sense her direction and where other people were to a slight degree.
