"Well, you're stuck with me." Felicity said, slightly wryly, and after a slight pause, she walked over to the bed.

Peter blinked a couple times, looking mildly surprised, and he released Evelyn's hand. "You startled me.."

"Sorry," she said gently, "I didn't mean to." She turned magenta again, then looked down, grabbed the cloth, and rinsed it in the water.



"I didn't say I minded," said Ed, closing his eyes from the heat of the fever.

"It's alright.." Peter murmured, before pushing himself up slightly and wincing.

Felicity turned a slight shade of pink, then noticed a pitcher of water on the bedside table, along with a cloth, and moved over to it, before dipping the cloth into the pitcher and wringing it out.

"Don't," she said quickly, pushing his shoulder down gently. "You don't want to injure yourself even more. You might've hurt your ribs, as well..." She felt his forehead, then sighed. "You're warm..." she said. She wrung the cloth out, then used it to dab at his forehead.



"Lu and Susan put you up to this, didn't they?" asked Ed.

"Maybe that's why I'm having trouble breathing.." Peter said quietly, before closing his eyes again.

"They asked me to, if that's what you mean.." Felicity said softly, rolling up her sleeves and reaching over, before brushing Edmund's forehead lightly with one hand. "You're burning up.."

Ev looked at him when he closed his eyes, concern filling her own, then sighed. "Don't worry - I'll be here with you for as long as it takes until you heal," she said.


Ed started slightly at the coolness of her hand, then said, "Remind me to thank them."

"Thank you.." Peter said quietly.

Felicity smiled slightly, and restrained herself from laughing. "I will.."

Ev smiled gently, then said, "No problem." She brushed a few of his bangs away from his forehead, then dabbed again with the damp cloth.


Ed managed a smile, then coughed.

Peter smiled tiredly and opened his eyes for a moment, and looked over at Evelyn.

Felicity looked a little concerned, then she reached over and brushed a few stray strands of hair from his forehead, then picked up the cloth and dabbed gently at his forehead for a few moments, then pulled her hand away.

Ev looked up and saw him looking at her. "Mmm-hmm?" she asked, a humorous smile permeating her face.

"Nothing.." Peter said with a slight shrug, closing his eyes again.

Ev smiled with a slight laugh to herself, then looked down as her face went more serious. "Where does it hurt you?" she asked, "Your ribs, I mean."

"My left side, mostly.." Peter said, putting his hand over his left side with a slight wince.

Ev nodded, then said, "I'll have to wrap that later," she said, feeling her cheeks go <i>very</i> warm. She looked down, then said, "But for now I'm going to have to clean some of those scrapes you have."



Ed looked at Felicity, then coughed again. "Egh....I can't tell you how awful this feels..." he said with a slightly sour laugh.

Peter nodded slightly. "I'm gonna try to go to sleep again.." To escape the pain..

Felicity shook her head a little and glanced over her shoulder at Edmund. "I can only guess.." she said as she wrung out the cloth.

Ev nodded, and she whispered hoarsely, "You should." <i>Probably can't stand the pain,</i> she thought to herself, <i>Understandable.</i>


Ed nodded, then grimaced. "D'you have some water..?" he asked.
