CRUNCH!!! Will's fingers were now under Portia's boot. He blew up his cheeks and his eyes grew extremely wide. The pain shot through his fingers into his hand. Trying his best not to make a noise, Will held his breath and closed his eyes.

Will couldn't hold in his scream much longer.....Portia still had not released her weight off Will's fingers. Grabbing her leg tightly with his free hand, he squeezed it good and hard.

Portia gasped and nodded, finally understanding. She took her leg up and off of Will's finger. She bit her lip, hoping that she didn't break his finger at all. She looked to him even more apologetically than before.

Letting out a small moan, Will placed his fingers in his mouth. It felt now....like as if his fingers had been cut off.
As he tried to make his way down, he slipped on the moldy ladder. Will was now hanging onto the ladder with one hand.

Portia's eyes widened in fear for Will. She held onto the ladder tightly with one hand and grabbed Will's hurt hand with her other. "Hold on!" She mouthed to him.

Holding on as tight as he could to Portia's hand, Will could hear the monstrous crashing waves below him. Then slowly but steadily, he began to slip from her grasp.

He hunched his back over his jar of dirt, and said in a defiant tone, "No..."

As Will was pulled back toward the slimy ladder, both feet his the side of the ship with a loud thud. Then his knees hit the railing next. He yelled loudly, "Ooooooooooooooowwwwwww!!!"
