Seakas grinned and stood bowing to the King as the war cry was sung, yet he did not join in and he looked over at Nienna and smiled before going down to the stables to prepare his horse.

Izlaniel nodded when the King called for his horse to be saddled and readied. She was anxcious to get on her way, no knowing where the heart might be. It may take them years to find where it was hidden, only to find that it is not there.

Anira nodded in deference at the King before heading toward the stables. Finding her steed, she gently ran her fingers through his mane as he nickered in greeting. "Ready to hunt, old friend?" she whispered as she readied the beast.

AWESOME set by the AMAZING Lembas!!!

The dark birds crowded around the ramparts of the half-built fortress, watching the teams of slaves toiling over the rising of the fortress. This fortress was one of the many fortresses that were being built all over the country. The fortresses strongly resembled the dark mountains and caverns in which the Daemon Lords were confined in. Lord Halsiga swiftly rode into the newly finished gate on his dead stallion. It looked deathly sick, kept alive through dark necromantic powers. He rode without pause through the courtyard of the fortress only to stop in the inner chambers of the fortress, where Agreal dwelled in.

Halsiga entered in the room, bowed, and then walked the length of the black velvet hallway towards the throne itself and Agreal. He bowed again and remained on his knees until Agreal said calmly, "Rise."

Halsiga straightened up and began, "My lord, our armies have conquered the Farhani province, a significant territory to the Empire. But our agents have grave news. The torture of the magistrate in the Farhani province had revealed that the king has sent his best soldiers to find the Heart of the Griffin, an artifact they believe that can change the tide of the war."

Agreal asked, "What do you suggest?"

Halsiga replied, "Send a party to find this artifact. If possible, capture for our own cause but destroy if there is no hope of it falling it to our hands"

Agreal thought for a brief second and then declared, "Very well. Halsiga, you will lead a party of our strongest soldiers and ablest trackers and find this Heart of the Griffin."

Halsiga smiled. This was exactly what he wanted. "Thank you, my lord," he said. He bowed one final time before retreating outside.

Izlaniel followed Anira to the stables. Randir was pacing around his stall, he hated being locked up. He grew up on the wild plain, fending for himself, and he had chosen Izlaniel as his partener.
She walked over to him, he neighed and reared about a foot off the ground. She opened the stall door, and he ran past he,r through the aisle and out of the stables. She smiled, then followed him, walking, out.
He ran out a ways, then came back to her. She quickly remembered the supplies she had prepared for their journey. She ran back into the stables, and grabbed her bag. Then she went back outside.
She jumped onto Randir's back, bareback, as usual. Then she waited for the other knights.

Vondell followed the others to the stable, where he found his horse in a stall, still saddled. He had told the stable boys not to unsaddle him because he had had a feeling that the meeting would be short. He was right this time. Vondell lead his horse out of the stable, and into the court yard where others waited. He tightened his stallion's girth, lifted the reins over the horse's head, then mounted...

Anira quickly mounted Thalion and joined the party of knights outside, eager to begin their quest. Whatever happens, we will find and obtain the Heart. Everything depends upon it. she thought to herself as the group waited.

She caressed Taran and mounted the horse.
Then she turned to the others:

Isabel turned back and looked at the castle.On the highest tower the Griffin banner was flying.
