"So, as we are going to talk about this subject. I have and idea that I will brush past you. That is an idea that we send a group of Rangers to investigate, while the others remain here and continue their normal everyday duties. The group will find the source of trouble, and hopefully destroy it." Crowley stated, continuing, as he glanced around the rangers.
Halt nodded slowly, surprised that Crowley hadn't mentioned what he had said, but knew he would get their soon enough.

Drake nodded and was also quiet as Gilan walked over beside Halt, listening intently. He glanced at Halt, wondering what the two had spoken of early in Crowleys tent, but he just guessed he would have to wait and see.

"Someone reported seeing a Kalkara in an area close to Celtica. The place called Morgaroth's plain. A small group of people will search for it, then go and join with the group who had gone to Celtica. Now, as for the group with the Kalkara, Halt is the leader. Ask him if you would like to go. As for the other group, I will lead it." Crowley stated. Then, with that he strode off the rock and over to a log. He then sat down in thought.
Halt started to smile, but quickly made his face straight and emotionless. He turned to Gilan, Drake, Aaron and Will. "Ready?" He asked them.

"Halt, why are you asking me this?" Gilan said and grinned. "Of course I am!" Drake nodded eagerly. He took after Gilan a lot. He could have been his own son, if he really want to, and no one would question it.

Gilan lead Drake to there horses and they mounted. Drake grinned, ready to do some real work as Gilan lead him back to Halt and Will.

Aaron went over and mounted his ranger pony, Alka, and rode up to Halt and the group...

Halt kicked Abelard into a trot as he trotted over to Crowley. "We will be heading off now." He stated. Crowley looked at Halt and nodded. "Good luck." He replied. Halt then trotted back to the group. "We will head off now!" He stated as he then cantered out of the clearing, knowing the Gilan, Aaron, Drake and Will would follow.

Gilan nodded, somewhat grave, knowing they had indeed a grand task for them ahead. He looked back at his apprentice, knowing this would be his first real test, and hoped he would prove worthy. He followed Halt, with Drake close behind him.

Halt lead the way, through the dense forest. He knew rangers horses could travel fast, and he wanted to make progress as fast a possible, so they would have more time to search for the Kalkara. He finally slowed the horse down to a trot, but slowed his horse down more so he could talk to Glian.

Gilan also slowed down, and Drake almost ran his horse into Gilan's because he wasn't excatly paying as much as attention as he should be. Gilan gave him one of his rare serious looks, causing Drake to looked down, blushing in embaressment and a little same. Then, looking back at Halt, Gilan rode up next to him in case Halt wanted to take council in him, like the used to when they were master and apprentice.

Abelard started to paw at the ground, and Halt quickly turned his attention from Gilan to his horse. Then, after a glance he looked around the forest. There were shadows and it was darker, and most unfortunatly they had decided to take a path, a road if you must. With a yell, a group of 6 bandits jumped out of the forest and charged towards them. Halt took out his bow and nocked it with an arrow in one fluid movement, and then shot at one of the bandits, knocking it down. Already he had another arrow nocked.
