Mrs. Sadler stood in front of the man "I don't know these children", she said. "There was a party of my twins in the attic yesterday, so they brought the couch up here for their friends. Excuse the mess...you know...teenies..."

Athel hesitated for a minute then said, "Thank you for your time, Mrs. Sadler." He and his Dark Coats left the house and went towards the next target, the Stones.

Mrs. Sadler led the man and the Dark Coats out, before leaving the attic, she saw the man outside watching and following Adam and the other girl. "Be save, Adam", she whispered before closing the door to the attic.

Cara ran after the boy, following the dog into the forest. She glanced behind her once, but didn't see any Dark Coats following them.

Adam followed the dog, always looking around, if there was somebody following them. The dog led the children to a girl, lying on the ground, her leg was caught in a vine. Adam stopped and gasped when he daw the snake by the girls ankle. He turned to Cara. "We've to help her", he said. Then Adam turned back to the girl, lying on the ground. "Don't be afraid", he said. "We're here to help you. I know it's difficult, but try to remain calm."

Lee looked at the boy and the girl and said, "I am calm..." She couldn't see the snake but her ankle was slowly turning blue.

Athel was half way there when his radio spulttered out something like, "We have two possible Thirds." It then gave a garbled verison of a location. Athel turned his car and towards the location, which was the yard of the Sadlers' house. He was the first to arrive at the scene where three Dark Coats waited. One of them came up to Athel and said, "Two children has gone inside the woods. We assumed they were Thirds but decided not to chase them."
Athel nodded and said, "We will wait for more men then go in."
"Understood," the Dark Coat said.

Cara silently took a pocketknife from her jeans. She opened the blade, measuring it with her eyes. It wasn't very large, but it should be big enough. She moved slowly forward, keeping her eyes on the snake.

Mrs. Sadler looked out of the window, still seeing Dark Coats and the man in her yard. She tried to remain calm she she went out of the house, going towards the men. "Is there anything else wrong, officer", she asked a bit firmly. "I don't think you have the permission sneaking around in my yard. I want some answers."

Adam kept staring on the snake, he turned round, he belived he heard something. He didn't see anything, but he felt something or worse, someone was following them. He turned back to Cara and the other girl, he didn't know how he could help, so he hid behind a tree, looking out in case Dark Coats would come.

Cara walked forward until she was about a foot away from the snake. She knelt slowly, then her arm darted out, the knife chopped at the snake's head. Until that moment she had been calm, but suddenly her hand started shaking. She struck at the snake again and again, even after it was dead. Finally she stopped and stood up, shuddering a bit.

Lee heard the blade and said, "Thank you...now, please..." She stopped short, for she now lost all feeling in her ankle.

Cara nodded, putting the knife back in her pocket. She helped the girl sit up with her back to a tree, then looked at her ankle. It looked swollen and red, but Cara had no idea what might be wrong with it, or how to help.
