Duke John swept Alaina off her feet and set her gently on the stallion in front of him. The ceiling opened just for the two of them, and the stars beckoned. The unicorn spread its fluffly pink wings and soared out of the hall and to the velvety night beyond.

Meanwhile, Duke John was gracing his lovely partner with his O so mellifluous voice. "I can show you the world... Shining, shimmering, splendid! Tell me, princess, now when did you last let your heart decide?"

While her lucky duck cousin went prancing off into the stars, Lady Diana was fighting a fierce emotional armageddon.

Proclaim to him that she loved him?

No...

It was the handsome prince who proclaimed, not the beautiful princess. And why should she be any less proud than that scullery maid, Cinderella?

Feeling her heart fluttering quickly against her ribs, Alaina had to quickly straighten, so as to not fall back against John(even though she secretly wanted to be closer to him, loth as she was to admit it). Stars above, his voice was heavenly, nearly heart-wrenching. That, coupled with the intoxicating view of the stars and the gentle, cool rush of wind, made for an almost overwhelming array of emotions and feelings.

In short, Duke John was in a complete, absent-minded state of euphoria. The unicorn soared higher and higher, zigzagging in and out among the clouds.

"I can open your eyes, take you wonder by wonder! Over sideways and under on a magic [s]carpet[/s] unicorn ride! A WHOLE NEW WOOOOOORRRRRLLLLLLLLD!"

As they soared higher and higher, Alaina's expression became, in short, radiant, if not breathtaking. Her features were lit up with a half-smile, and her sapphire eyes were half-lidded in a demure, yet sensual, manner.

Duke John's voice, albeit rather loud, was stunning enough to fell dragons. Wherever the flying unicorn passed over, dogs howled, windows shattered, and ugly old housewives everywhere went tone deaf.

Men's chorus in high school? Breaking all the priceless glass vases in the building? Been there, done that.

The loudness of his voice far from bothering her a whit, Alaina herself suddenly burst into song, the verses flowing from her clearly, melodically.

“A whole new world! A dazzling place I never knew. But when I’m way up here, it’s crystal clear, that now I’m in a whole new world with you.”

Several more lines burst from her impromptu, and they were clearer and more melodic than the last.

“Unbelievable sights! Indescribable feelings! Soaring, tumbling, freewheeling, through an endless diamond sky. A whole new world!”

"A hundred thousand things to see!" Alaina sang, lines coming to her from almost nowhere.

She was then echoed by John, who stated, "Hold your breath - it gets better!"

"I'm like a shooting star, I've come so far I can't go back to where I used to be!" she sang, almost soulfully, she was definitely in all-out song mode then.

(Then you can do the next four lines, using both, and then the line they sing together..if you want.)

Bryne took the princess's hand and bowed over it. "It is privilage to dance with you. I don't know a single man here who wouldn't desire to meet you, talk with you, dance with you." He gently kissed her hand.

[wait... I think I got a better idea]

"A whole new world! With new horizons to - " Then Duke John was interrupted quite abruptly by a certain killjoy known as the unicorn.

"Shut up, human. You're heavy enough as it is."

Duke John was positively baffled. "What?! Can't you see I'm on a date - "

"Go lose some pounds."

Outraged, he demanded, "I am not fat! Are you calling me fat? Because fat is nowhere on my perfect, muscular - "

"Fatso," came the tactful response.

"Hornface."

"Your dam."

Now that was going a bit too far. "DON'T YOU BRING MY MOTHER INTO THIS!"

Promptly hitting herself with the palm of her hand, Alaina tried vainly to ignore the banter between the two of them..but only succeeded in giving herself a major headache. Good gods above, just strike me dead now.. she pleaded silently, mortified.

Zipporah nodded, her eyes stuck to him as if she had just been zapped with electrcal voltage. When he took her in his arms she gulped and continued staring at him in utter bliss. Utter. Bliss.

"I could just drink you up in a martini glass..." she thought to herself.

Jeral nodded calmly to passerby's in his corner, smiling and nodding approriately. Suddenly, without warning, a whole gaggle of 13-year-old girls came pouring in next to him screaming "AUTOGRAPH, please, autograph!!!"

It was a perilous moment. Jeral dodged into the crowd. His persistant fans followed. He ran outside, only to be met by more girls!

So, he took a sharp turn left, and without thinking ran straight into Lady Diana. Jeral was uncannily taken aback, and for the VERY first time in his life was wordless, speechless in the site of actually roughly knocking such a... fine figure of a woman. He gulped, and racked his poor head for a proper apology.
