"This? Just some last-minute homework." came Aidan's nonchalant response. And, with that, he vanished behind the book again, before propping his feet up on the seat across from him.

Bella took the hint. As a fellow Slytherin she knew when another wanted to be alone. So she gave Aiden a small smile before turning back to watching the world around them blur, her feet propped up next to her, tucked under her bottom.

At least someone can take hints.. Aidan thought in amusement as he retrieved a roll of parchment, a quill, and a bottle of ink from the bag next to him. Soon, the sound of penstrokes scratching on the parchment became the only sound in the compartment..apart from the occasional comment from another compartment that drifted down the hall of the train.

She grinned at the noise of the quill scratching across the parchment. She couldn't tell you why that sound was soothing, but it was and she found herself drifting off to sleep in hopes of reaching Hogwarts soon.

Just as abruptly as the scratching had begun, it ended, and was replaced by the sound of parchment being crinkled up. "Can't even concentrate here.." Aidan muttered, shoving the book, quill, and ink bottle back in his bag, before taking something else out and bouncing it in the palm of his hand.
