Evelyn smiled softly at them all, then stood up and started browsing the library. "Isn't there <i>anything</i> we can do to pass the time?" she asked, scanning a shelf for any particularly interesting book.

Evelyn shrugged, then said, "Well, I can't think of anything. Any ideas?"

"None from me." Peter replied after a minute, and Lucy and Felicity answered pretty much the same thing.

Evelyn shrugged, then took a book off of the shelf. <u>Jane Eyre</u>. Well, it'd do. She walked back over to the back of the room and sat down, reading.

Susan looked around at the bored little group. They had to do something....

"Lu, will you pass me that dictionary over there please?"

Taking the big volume from her sister's small hands, Susan flipped it open and said: "Let's play a game. I'll read a word, and you have to guess the origin, okay?"

The others didn't seem very enthusiastic, so she started without waiting for an answer. "I will start with something easy: gastrovascular."

Evelyn looked up from her book to watch the scene. She smiled at the expressions on each of them - boredom etched on almost every face, except maybe Susan's. She held back laughter as she implied that Peter never paid attention in class. She looked down again, smiling as Susan suggested another word. This would be a fun scene to watch.
