Slowly Calista's eyelashes began to flutter and a soft moan escaped from her lips as she started to come around.

A wan smile traced Darius's lips as he heard her voice. "Ro..." he whispered her name again as his eyelids started to twitch.

Calista groaned again as her lashes continued to flutter. "G-gareth...?" she murmured weakly, her voice barely audible.

Darius's eyes slowly fluttered opened then and he gave his love a weak smile.

Calista weakly tried to return his kiss as her eyes finally fluttered open and she gazed up at him with glazed eyes. "I-is...e-everything...all...right..." she asked, not remembering how she blacked out from lack of air.

"I-I'm sorry..." Darius murmured weakly, not sure what he was apologizing for.

Calista gave Gareth an appreciative smile as he held the cloth to her nose and crimson colored droplets splashed on the cloth, staining it. Covering her mouth with her hand again, Calista started to cough violently again.

Sighing contentedly, Darius wrapped his arms around Rosalina and held her close.

Calista continued to cough hard for a few more minutes, causing more blood to flow from her nose. Finally when her coughing spell passed, Calista withdrew her hand as a small rivulet of blood flowed from her lips.

Smiling softly, Darius just held Rosalina close, thankful that he still had her in his life.
