Annalett heard the jail door open again, and slow, heavy footsteps could be heard. Crathnar stopped at Annalett's cell, and opened the door.
"I'm going to ask you a question, now. Answer me, and I'll give you food... that hasn't been drugged. Don't answer...." here he gave a chuckle, making it clear what ever it was, it would be painful...

"This was once true but this hands were not meant to give me save lives. They just give harm to those who are innocent and good. And there is this infamous thing. I do not think I could help you because I could not help my dragon survive. Just safely go away before I harm yours." He turned his back to her by sitting onto the log in a hunchbacked way thoughtfully.

"This was not like all this, when I was on dragon, none could match my power, I had the magic and I could wield the sword better against my enemies and brought them down easily. But it is all gone away when one day in a fight I acted so irresponsible since I had full trust on myself that I am the best of all of the dragon riders. However, it was not. I did not protect my own dragon just because I had so overtrust. I cannot let that happen again and so let me be in my way, the dragon rider. My age had already passed."

mirima perked up hearing about non-drugged food and asked even though he was in Annalett's cell "what are these questions?"

Crathnar smiled.
"First, were is the hiding place of your kin? Second, how many riders are there, and third, who is the leader?"

Mirima hid all the answers in the back of her mind
Then said "I will never tell you as long as I may live"

She then fainted from exaution of being so worked up after not eating for 4 days

Annalett looked up at Crathnar stoubornly.
"I won't tell you either. I'd kill you, and die myself before I told!" saying that hurtt her, knowing if she died, both of her two dragons would die as well.

Crathnar's smile disapeared, and he produced a class vile filled with green liquid.
"Do you know what this is?" Annalett shook her head, determined not to faint from hunger.
"This is Qpjtpo Mjrvje. Made from the stalk of Fricai Andlát." he poured the liquid into a cup of water, the liquid seemed to disapear just at it touched the water.
"A drop swallowed in instant death, while it's acid to the touch." Within a moment he grabbed Annalett hand, and poured a drop onto her fingers. Annalett screamed in pain, and yanked back her hand. The skin on her finger that touched the poison was baddly burnt, and the smell of burnt flesh was fresh in the air.
"I'll give you three days to think about changing your opinion, or you'll be showering in it," and with that, the shade left, leaving a fainted girl, and another girl hugging her burnt hand...

mirima awoke a few hours later"what did crathner say after i fainted ..... what happened to your finger" she said looking down at annalett's scalded finger.

Annalett looked straight ahead, eyes glassy, muscles tense.
"He'll poison us... pour acid on us..." she said, then looked at Mirima. Just a little of the acid poison he called Qpjtpo Mjrvje poured on my finger, hurtt like the world..."

Gosh what do we do ? Mirima said scared
do we tell him about our kin or not

"We did say we would rather die then tell him..." she said, sitting down on the ground, back leaning against the wall, knees to her chest.
"We thing Crathnar can get in our minds... what if this link he has us on can work the other way as well, and we can get into his mind..."

i'm not sure but that is a smart idea ,Mirima saidbut how do we do it??

Annalett thought for a long moment, then closed her eyes. Her mind wondered, she saw herself, sitting there, and Mirima in the next cell. A blood red strand, barely able to be seen, came from them, and led out the door. Annalett's mind, or magic as it was, followed the string, out of the jail, and down a rode, to the shade riding away on a big black horse. The mental her, went into the string, and was pulled into Crathnar's mind. Searching through it, though making sure not to be known, she found some thing of use, and somethings she'd wished she hadn't found.

Suddenly she was jerked back to her body, he was out of her range now.
"I just did... but can't now, the shade's too far away." she looked at Mirima, a lump forming in her throught, "He's captured our dragons..." a singe lear rolled down her face...

mirima didn't say anything she just burst into tears

"I wonder what he's going to do with
them what if he kills them if we don't tell."

"I don't know... how did he capture them in the first place? Also, I learned the only way to speak to them... is if we speak a certain word in the ancient language. He went too far away just as I was about to find out what it was..." Annalett said, leaning her head back against the stone wall.
"We might not live through this..."
