Normally Emmeline would be a little more outgoing and happy, but after all that had happened she seemed distant and reserved.

Illyanna stod and placed the harp back into the saddlebag. "I am willing to become a member of your group." She said softly as she resumed her seat atop Shander's large paw.

Rena smiled with delight when Illyanna said she'd join. And not just for the fact that she could help write a song for the deceased chosen ones. She also was glad Airithnu agreed to it.

She took her place again beside Kith, Sorcha, and Emmeline.
"Well, that's pretty much what you're going to do. you're going to put some of your magic into each and every egg. That way, they will recognize us so that if an enemy tries to do so, they won't be able to because the egg or eggs wouldn't recognize them," Rena explained, feeling smarter than usual for some odd reason...

Adilya liked the idea of the whole egg recognizing us, and she began to feel a sense of compassion for the egg itself. "Could our magic kill them?" Adilya asked aloud only right after realizing that revealed a great amount of knowledge about her in a very short period of time.

"Alright," Adilya cautiously agreed with her head bowed a slight bit towards the ground, "I will join." Her heart went out to the other Chosen who had died, and it was now going out to the ones remaining. If bearing and protecting an egg was what she had to do to help, Adilya would gladly accept it.

Sorcha smiled at the three who had already agreed to join. "Thank you." she said earnestly. Wanting to know everyone else's answers, she looked around the cave at their faces. She wished she could better read what she saw there, but didn't want to seem impatient by asking.

Tiernan's face was an expressionless mask as he listened to the original Chosen and the others as they accepted the 'honor.' Then his face cracked into a smile, "What the hey? I'm in. 'Bout time I started doing something for thing greater than myself."

Talyn telepathically shook his head, You said you wouldn't ever get involved with a group again. Not after what happened last time. And that has already happened to them once. What makes you think it won't happen again?

I know, but these people deserve our help. And I though we agreed never to bring that up again, Tiernanshot right back. But, please, just come along.

Zero shifted in his position. He was willing to ignore those idiots. He had perked up on the egg part.

A dragon egg.

Then came the obvious question, "What are we protecting it from, and why are they so important to need protection from such a large group?"

Then, another question occured to him. "And how did this... Crymson know about me?"

This was getting confusing for him. But he was interested in the egg. The Dragon Egg...

"I'll do it." He continued, before any of his other questions were answered.

Rena opened her mouth to answer his first question when he agreed to it. She looked confusedly at him, then spoke.
"Erm, I think that we're protecting it from any imanent dangers. We're taking it to a dragon-keeper or something like that. Where they'll do something to the dragon eggs that's good for them. I'm not sure. Crymson never said. And how she knew about you? Beats me... I don't know how she knew of any of us." Huh... never really thought about that... maybe she was in with the government, the thought made her smile slightly...

Airithnu smiled at Tiernan's reply. She could sense his easy-going nature and she liked his personailtiy. It reminded her of her brother. Airithnu was glad that she found at least one person she could already get along with, thinking back to the incident with Zero, even though he didn't reply to her rebuke, which was fine by her. I guess that even's it out, then. She thought, thinking of having one friend and one enemy to start out the trip wasn't too bad.
