"The girl disapeared right before the ambush," Vondell informed, and grabbed his horse's reins, eying everything wearily. "I knew not to trust the girl," he kept saying girl like it really hadn't been one, like it had been maybe some sort of goblin in disguise...

Shade scowled at the little elf girl..
"Save Mercadova, eh? Just what kind of quest are you and your friends on you little dwarf?"
he replied mockingly..

"Very well," Dainisle said, though she had no idea why she trusted her. She took out her rapier and pressed it against Sterre's throat. She began to shuffle awkwardly out of the cover of the woods. She knew that she shouldn't make such a big scene but she can always hide her paths. She gripped Sterre's arm tightly and hissed, "You better know what you're doing."

She began to walk with Sterre against her backwards, taking care to hiss loudly to her, "One single move and all of your rich beautiful blood will be spilled for my eternal pleasure."

"Dwarf?" Holly asked, raising her voice. The was a huge insult in the elven world, and no elf would every cross Holly Short with that one. "I am a full-blood wood elf, born under the trees of the Western Woods. So if you are going to stand there mocking me, you can just run home and tend you fields like a good little human boy should."
By this point she was staring Shade strait in the eye, brandishing her dagger, with such a look of hatred that any demons would have run for the hills. Any magic user in a two mile radius probably would have fell that pulsing engery she was omitting.

"No doubt she is spy of the dark forces and a weilder of magic like myself." Anira remarked hearing Vondell's words. She then turned to watch the commotion between Holly and Shade. "Who are you and what is it you seek?" she asked him, wondering if he could be trusted.

Shade flinched at her response, feeling the pulse, but only slightly, his stubborness(sp?) blocked the rest out.
"didn't know dwarfs were so touchy..." he muttered under his breath..

"ok elfy, thanks for the family history..and by the way, I certainly am NOT a farmer..."

"Also, if your planning to use that beuty of a dagger, I would strongly advise you not to.."
he said while smirking.

He turned to the girl talking to him..
"My name is Shade.. I come from the mountain a little ways from here.. I came out of concern, you people seem to be disturbing my graves that I dig here on a daily basis.."

Anira almost smirked at the exchange between the two but masked her emotions behind an impassive expression. "Greetings, Shade. I am Anira. We have no intention of disrupting your graves, only on stopping the ones who seek to pollute this land with a never ending darkness. If this makes us enemies I suggest we settle our score now." she said, bracing herself to fight if need be.

Elfy?, thought Holly, glaring at Shade. She seathed her dagger when he looked away, but kept tence. "Shade, ay," she mumbled, more to her self that anyone, "The name fits."
She back off a ways, and grabbed her pony's reins, for he was starting to wander off in search of unchared grass.

"No, I don't consider myself to be your enemy.. But, I would have to ask, out of curiosty, what is it that your seeking? maybe I can be of some assistance.." he said, being quite polite for a change..
"anything to get out of this same old place" he muttered under his breath.

He turned to Malachi..
"Yes, thats my name..." he answered.. but didn't shake Malachi's hand..

Meanwhile he kept glancing at the elf..
"and what was your name? eh? or would you rather just have me call you 'elfy'?"
he snickered at her..

Anira smirked slightly, deciding to chance telling him a portion of their plans. "We seek a crystal that can help deliver this world from vile clutches." she responded. "The shadow warriors too seek to wield its power to cover this land in an eternal night. If you would care to join us, I am fairly certain your aid will be most welcome." she glanced down at Holly and then at the others as she said the last statement, not wanting to speak too much for them.
