Wolverine glared at Emma, "Yeah, lets wait.great idea, while there in trouble. We sit back here and have a cosy chit chat." he unsheathed his claws, and gave a wide grin. "Bring it on I say. I prefer a straight fight to sneakin' around. Not like none of us have ever walked in on a trap. We can deal with this Frost. If you want to kick back here and ponder, go right ahead. We'll need someone to babysit"

"Logan, please" the soothing voice of Ororo interjected, and she put a hand on his arm gently. "We need to focus and work as a team. Emma is right, we cannot afford to go rushing in there, too much is at stake."

Logan sheathed his claws and hunched his shoulders. "Fine 'Ro. But we can't wait too long."

Storm nodded in agreement, "I agree my friend."

"If you need someone to watch over the youngsters, I can stay behind." Beast spoke up with a cheerful smile, trying to break the tension.

"Nah, Hank. We'll need ya on this." Logan replied, "Rogue and Bobby can stay. I say we take Kitty and Peter we;ll need her brains and his brawn."

John looked at Minna as the words appeared in the air before them and the blood pressure continued to rise in the room. Particularly Logan's or so he thought. "What should we do now?" he asked her. His fingers began to move backwards and forwards, the tips pointing to the centre of his palm. Once an innocent gesture, John had a feeling it could mean much more now.

Emma remained smug as Logan was forced to retreat. But she did have to agree with Logan's choice of combatants. Together with Kitty and Peter, they would be able to fight against Sinister and his thugs. "Agreed," she said. "Shall I call for them now or do you want to go hunt for them, Logan?" She noticed that the gang of children was still there, eavesdropping on them. Children will always be children, she thought.

She shook her head silently and looked to her brothers for help. "You know if we stay here we'll get in trouble." Erchirion hissed at John, trusting his sister to keep his words hidden from Logan and his friends. Minna opened her mouth and murmured, "Here." The air shimmered again and more of the conversation reached their ears, "...we take Kitty and Peter, we'll her brains and his brawn..." Again, the young girl took excellent care to keep Ororo from noticing anything, seeing as Emma already has.

"I'll go get 'em. I'll need to check on Abbie before I leave." Logan replied, chomping down on the remainder of an unlit cigar.

"Good idea" Storm said managing a smile, "Not the best day for her to arrive. I've not even gotten a chance to meet her yet."

"Good thing she's not goin' nowhere" Logan replied, searching his jean pockets for his zippo lighter. "I'll be back once I find Kitty and Peter. Get the Jet prepped and ready to go."

"What about the others?" Beast asked, his glasses perching on the bridge of his blue furred nose. "They'll need to be informed there's an important mission"

"I'll do that too" Logan snarked back as he pulled out the lighter. "Keep a seat warm for us" he turned and began to make his way out the War Room.

"I need to address to some matters first," Emma said abruptly. "Excuse me, Ororo. Hank."

She left the War Room as she heard John mutter in a furious tone "stop worrying too much. It's not like you don't want to join them to Muir Island and fight these guys."

Well, it would only take a quick scan to find the truth in that, she thought. She turned another corner and found the four children standing under an air vent. "So...you four decided that rather staying inside your room like the grown-ups told you, you should eavesdrop on matters that are far beyond you," she said in a mock stern voice. Inside, she admired their curiosity. Her eyes flickered from one child to the next, landing on John last.

John looked away from her, blushing slightly. He still hadn't gotten over his instructor's beauty.

Dom pressed his back against the wall, trying his hardest not to be seen. He and Emily had managed to slip away from the war room door before being caught, but they didn't have enough time to make a clean escape. They were now in a dead end hallway, trapped by Emma who stood nearby. She was talking to another group of kids who appeared to be eaves dropping, but he and Emily were still close enough to be noticed.

"What's happening?" Emily asked in an almost innadible whisper. Dom glared at her, and didn't peer his head around to see what was happening. His ears, which now looked remarkably like bat ears, could hear perfectly the situation. At the moment it was painfully quiet. Dom prayed that Emma would leave without discovering them.

Minna dropped her illusion with something between the mix of a frown and an annoyed look. "This was your idea." she murmured angrily to John. "It wasn't Our Fault Miss Frost. We tried quite hard to stop John Ma'am but our plans did not quite work." Charlie piped up. Erchirion nodded nervously, biting his lip.

Minna took in a quite sharp, intake of breath, taking a quick glance towards the space where Dom and Emily where hidden. She then returned her attention back to Emma, "I speak for all of us when I say I'm sorry ma'am." She flashed a quick smile before returning to her sad smile.

(ok haveing had pracetised for a few days i can now type ith one hand, woooo, so i shall be able to make short posts)

Bella pressed herself back with Emily and Dom, but it wasn't long before she was stepping out of thier hideing place into plain veiw.
"So...you four decided that rather staying inside your room like the grown-ups told you, you should eavesdrop on matters that are far beyond you" Emma rebuked the others. Bella saw this as highly unjust, not that they were getting away with it, that she was pleased with. But it was the inferance that she was a kid and not up to dealing with what they had over heard. So now she stepped round the courner behind Emma and spoke up.
"Acctually some of us are grownups too and we have every right to listen, this affects us too. Our very training teaches us that we should try and find out information. We can all fight, and I know that you will need all the help you can get with this, even if its only lookouts." She pointed out respectfully and aas calmly as she could with her raceing heart. She hoped that her gambel would pay off.

"Bella," Dom whispered angrily, so only Bella could hear, "I swear I will kill you so slowly and painfully-" He was cut short as Emily dashed just out of reach to stand next to Bella.
"Yeah, we're mature." Emily added, folding her arms. "If there's something going on that involves us, we should know about it."
Dom, who was still hiding behind the corner, had no choice now but to slip into view, with a sheepish grin on his face and flushed cheeks. "What they said." He murmured, gesturing to Emily and Bella.

John burned with disgust as Minna tried to apologise for him. No, I don't, he vigorously thought, certain that Ms. Frost heard it. Then more children emerged, one of them challenging Ms. Frost. But her heart was beating rapidly, meaning either she was furiously passionate about what she was saying or she had no confidence in what she was saying.

Emma snickered mentally. "Don't be sorry," she said to Minna. "I would be disappointed if you children didn't eavesdrop. Particularly you, John. Anyway, I guess I shouldn't be calling you children anymore, seeing as you've proven yourself to be more mature." She stopped for a moment, tasting everyone's resolve in terms of this battle. "Of course, I don't need to tell you how dangerous this mission is and I'm not certain I can persuade Ororo let you join but I suppose you can come with us." She continued quickly to stem any feelings of euphoria. "However, you will do well to keep your head while you're in this. Many of you are not accustomed to them what some of us have seen time and time again. People will die and you will hear and see them. Now, if you still think you're old enough to do this..." She really didn't need to say names. Their thoughts appeared clearly in their heads as if they were wearing them on their faces.

Minna looked slightly annoyed, but not at Emma. She knew quite better than to anger the teachers. SHe was, rather, annoyed at Bella, Emily, and Dom. She hardly knew them but she often did make bad first impressions. Even her brothers had made the same decision as she did. "We'll go." Erchirion said, "We'll go. We know what to expect Miss Frost." He bit his lip, praying that what she said about them tagging along was true.
