Yelena smiled. "I guess so." She relaxed somewhat. "Its funny, I've been traveling along for so long and so far. I know how to handle people. But its nice to have someone to talk to. Someone who isn't an employer, or a means to finish a job." She gave a dry laugh. "I've never worked with anyone more then hireing help to do a fraction of a job."

X Nodded. "I know what you mean." he took a deep breath and reclined in his seat. He looked up at her, almost as if the realization of her statement just hit him. "It is nice to have someone to talk to."

He sat thinking for a moment. A hard look on his face. "Friends are a dangerous commodity in our line of work... but I think if we keep visiting like this I just might get comfortable with calling you such."

X saw the look in her eyes, he knew it well. He too had reasons not to let someone get that close... But for some reason his emotions overid logic this time. It is notblike it was the first time he had met a pretty girl or found someone whom he got along with well... This time just seemed to be different.

He sat, still reclining. "I know what you mean... And that seems the safer option," he admited. "But sometimes... I wonder. If you had two people with the same lifestyle, same goals... Some expectations..." Again he looked down at the table and shook his head... Almost admiting to how foolish his words sounded. He shrigged. "Maybe things could work."

They were taken. I worked as a mercenary for many years and then found my true place in the world of bounty hunters. That is where I have stayed, predominately."
